Re: Back from the ****

Watched the replay and I need to know just one thing. FIRST GOAL: Which of the three defenders was the oxf*rd who was meant to be marking the guy who was completely free to tap in? I can't make out who it was but I won't be sending him a Christmas card. It should have been Elphick based on where he...

Strikers.

We've survived. Yay. Many people were crying out for strikers including me. And I still put our huge failure down to not getting one or two proven goalscorers. So it stuns me that Clement has said that is an area we have a surplus in. Yes true in terms of numbers we have a lot but quantity does not ...

Stam would have lost all those games.

Less red cards only because the players would give less of a shit under Stam than they seem to now.

Re: BFTG Wednesday (a)

I don't think there is much point in pointing out everything we did wrong there. Midfield was dire. Swift looked like he was playing with an under 18s team around him but was equally ineffective. Everyone seemed afraid to take a shot. Ref was poor. Goals were all from sloppy defending. Bod sadly ha...

Re: Arriving to games late

I once came to a game late. I missed a couple of minutes of football. I wrote to John Madejski to ask for a refund because they started the game without me, which is rude. There's a clip online somewhere featuring a groundhopper turning up at a game at Bracknell dead on 3 pm, only to find the refer...

Re: BFG QPR

Blackett 7 One terrible clearance in the first half. Otherwise he played well and "but a couple of lapses." and "made a couple of mistakes but" 3 of the 4 of the reports on TB can't be wrong, he unsurprisingly made noticeable mistakes. I don't wish to be negative for what was a ...

Re: BFG QPR

Sounded on the radio like the one difference here was the fight the players suddenly found in them. I wonder how many points this sort of fight is worth in a season. In this game it was probably worth at least 2 if not 3 points. Well done players, well done Clement, well done Gourlay et al for makin...

Re: Whats Clement got to work with ?

To be honest I don't think I can judge any of the players' abilities as they weren't themselves this season after the playoff heartache, the injuries, the horrible directionless possession football and the downward spiral of confidence all of which caused the players to underperform massively. We ha...

Re: New Manager Press Conference 12pm today

Exactly people have got hooked onto this term "possession based football" and think that everything that involves a bit of patience and possession is the same.

I look forward to possession based football being done properly with a decent plan B and plan C should the opposition press.

Re: Tactical analysis from Paul Clement

Thanks Tremaine this is really useful and has really given me a lot of confidence. Hearing him speak inspires me with confidence. I'm sure Stam would have thoughts like this but I always got the impression he had a great idea in not losing the ball and yes that sort of worked for the first season, m...

Re: POLL: Paul Clement in... are we still going down?

Paul Clement *may* not be the greatest manager in the world but he's not awful. His biggest crime is perhaps playing negative football. The point however is that Stam this season has been utterly woeful and totally clueless. I honestly believe was worse than having no one there. It literally couldn...

Re: New Manager Press Conference 12pm today

I'll be delighted if it is. I think people are underestimating what Clement has achieved for some of the world's biggest clubs, most importantly, coaching a similar playing style to our own. And Right now, we need the best from the players we have got. Best choice out of the options to be suggested...

DELIGHTED.

Feel for Stam, always an honest gentleman in interviews who may do quite well somewhere else, but this is just brilliant news.

Well done owners!!!

Now let's get rid of some more of these clueless guys.

Re: who do you want as the new manager

I'll start off by suggesting we could do worse than get Pardew back since its obvious he wont be long at West Brom. Probably do alright, but after what he did to us I'd rather have a rusty screw driver inserted into my eyeballs whilst having my balls dipped in a pool of piranhas whilst listening to...

Re: Back from the game - Norwich

I see a lot of negativity here. If we put in a good second half away from home, fought hard to claw back two goals within a goal of getting an away point that can't be a bad thing surely. It's good that we improved in the second half but at the end of the day, we still lost mainly thanks to an insi...
