Re: Gourlay

The club is in a rut, we’ve appointed a CEO with top experience, a manager with something to prove and a decent CV, a top rate youth director.... as far as I’m concerned, I just wish we gave our youth more of a chance- but I absolutely don’t blame Clement for playing it safe. The club is pushing ah...

Re: Solutions to problems (instead of moaning)

instead of moaning that we gave Meite a 4 year contract , get the coaches to work with him on ball retention and trapping the ball a bit better. In fact this should be basic stuff with all the players. ^^^^^ Get behind the players. Accept the majority are young and inexperienced. Though are talente...

Noticable how relegated clubs no longer bounce back instantly. Money is no guarantee of success. Fall in revenue means clubs still have to cut back. Lose best players etc.

Players need to track the oppositions run. In this instance Meite let his man go.

Re: BFTG West Brom

Swift and Ezatolahi both played very well in the first half but Swift went missing in the second and Ezatolahi ran out of steam. They both need to work out how to keep it going for the full 90. Need to play every game and not overtrain. Clement needs to keep faith with the core of the team and let ...

Re: How long does Clement have?

Clinging on to the hope that a new manager is going to save the day makes little sense. Time to rebuild. To move forward we need to suffer the bad performances. Ok. At what point do you say it’s time to go? Do you give Clement the entire season even if it means we go down? I think it would be very ...

How often has a Reading team even managed a full 45 minutes in the past few seasons.

Gourlay is just an employee of the club. Where are the owners?

Big step up for Loader to start games. Lacks the physicality for this level currently.

Re: Will going down be a bad thing?

Does Bodvarsson stay and play in League One when he has Iceland ambitions? Does Swift, who has obvious technical ability but needs better coaching, play in League One or does he join another Championship side? And Mannone, Moore, Ilori, O'Shea, Gunter, Yiadom, Barrow, Bacuna, Blackett. All Champion...

think he is better saying he got the selection wrong, than denying what everyone could see with their own eyes tbh He'll address the issues internally. Not publically deride any single player. Reading into the comment. Some players are finally destined to be dropped from the squad. Come what may. W...

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

Doesn't look happy playing the position he's been asked to fill. Square peg in round hole. Probably a really nice talented guy. Not all transfers work out. Look at the players Man City have gone through over the past few years. Longer term Clement would offload. Once there's a better option availabl...

Either way, 4 years is ridiculous

I recall thinking Kevin Doyle would never make the grade. Meite is raw but is highly coachable.
