Exactly, people are playing versus the name rather than the opponent.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

For the first time on Saturday I noticed that supporters in this section were goading the Ipswich fans when we scored and directing songs at them. That going against their initial objectives?

PS - I am all for it and good to have our fans behind that goal.

Re: BFTG - Ipshit H

Great entertainment, enjoyable going to a game not knowing what you are going to get whilst also knowing that each point is worth fighting for as we push for survival. Far better than any mid table mediocrity. We have a real player in Meite and providing he is left be in that striker position we wil...

Re: BFTG Brentford away

i thought the standard of football on show was truly woeful, from both teams. Not actually true though, is it? Brentford were very good in the first half and we played some decent stuff at the start of the 2nd leading to the Swift free kick. Game became frantic near the end of course as Brentford c...

Re: BFTG Brentford away

i thought the standard of football on show was truly woeful, from both teams. Brentford wont make play offs, we wont get relegated. Our Persian Pogba will be a shrewd loan and will go some way to shore up our midfield but boy oh boy, we need to work out how to cut out these crosses and balls across ...

Re: My first rumour report. Things not well at Reading.

Good to hear a different take on things - thanks Nameless.

All I would say is, the academy from U7 through to U15s is in an utter mess.

Kids leaving in their droves, scouting network falling apart, no direction or organisation on academy training days. Missing out on matches - etc etc.

Re: I think I’m done - just can’t watch this lot anymore

you could see their second coming from the moment they kicked off Clement's clearly not a manager, basically an industry hanger-on who got lucky A rare dose of AE sanity on the Team Board. We need an experienced manager to organise this shower of shit. Not an assistant manager who wants to sit in t...

Re: BFTG - Norwich

First half so flat, dire infact. Just don't understand how you can play like that after being fired up before kick off. Second half I actually thought we were excellent. Intent, and purpose was there. We created a fair few chances. But seriously our finishing is just woeful. What actually went again...

Adam Johnson is approaching week's away from being released.

Will any club pick him up do you think? 31 years of age now.

I can also add to this - very true. All things Reading FC at academy level and pre academy is not in a good place.

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Agree to an extent, but press conferences and such like are a big part of trying to keep the fans feeling engaged with the club Fully agree that whinging about it doesn’t help though, and I thought the retweeting of the leaked kit for example was an appalling misjudgement even though it seems a min...

https://twitter.com/Smudgersport/status/1022408835837911040 Awks Poor "Smudger". He is so far behind the curve he's almost in 1997. The fact they cant even get their fingers on the pulse for a low level signing like this shows you the status this organisation has in the eyes of Reading FC.
