Re: CheLOLsea

(guessing...) the vast majority on here were 12 or younger when the prem started so yes! Football doesn't start from when you were born. That's a bit like the simpletons on quiz shows when they say "that was before my time". If they were twelve, it wasn't when they were born. I think it's...

Re: CheLOLsea

yeah I do why? Obviously, in most posters eyes, football only started when the Premier League was created. (guessing...) the vast majority on here were 12 or younger when the prem started so yes! Re: BFTG Stoke

Vic you must be pleased that Gunter came on and had a stormer. I think he may save us from relegation. 8) About time he did something good (I gather he wasn't much good as usual) as he didn't do much to save us from relegation from the Premier League. If we do get relegated he will be the only WELS...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Your anti United stance is getting so so tiresome. It's almost like Kes and his constant shite. No one gave them a chance in Paris, and look what happened there. I always read it as largely tongue-in-cheek tbf. i mostly do (default HNA position tbf) but there's also a fair bit of bitterness in some...

Re: BFTG Stoke

Yes, thanks for all the BFG reports, which are by far the best way I get a handle on performances given that I can't make matches. I agree with you but it does seem so far that only sandman actually went to the game. Vic you must be pleased that Gunter came on and had a stormer. I think he may save...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

So, what's left for this massively expensively assembled squad? 4th place in the domestic league perhaps? I thought they had a chance in the FA Cup but were outclassed yesterday by mid-table Wolves. Still, Ole is the saviour eh? The same Wolves that put you out of the same cup with the exact same r...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Things must be bad if people are seriously suggesting that a return of Gunter strengthens the defence. I have a horrible feeling that another Welshman, Joe Allen, will have a free reign in midfield. Our best hope might be to wind up McLean (if he starts) and get him sent off then both sides c...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

They didn't really play that well last night either, they just got the job done exceptionally well. Agreed. It follows City at Schalke, Spurs at Dortmund and Man Utd at PSG where none played particularly well but found a way to win. I hope Liverpool get drawn at home in the first leg of the Quarter...

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

By nature I am generally an optimist but , like a lot of football fans and their clubs ,when it comes to RFC I am very much a pessimist. The pessimism at the moment is accentuated by the lack of quality (partly due to injuries) in the squad and the way that we play. Possession football is not just a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

much as I'd absolutely hate to see him play normally, I think McShane is a better option than Gunter. Gunter has been useless this year and little better than McShane. And would mean playing someone out of position. Just hope Moore is either fit or back very soon. A starting line up with McShane an...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Leeds lost 1-0 at QPR last week, they're probably about as good as we are right now. I'd say we're easily capable of winning this but I am fully expecting a point at least. I hope, like you, it is the Leeds of the QPR game-you have forgotten Leeds' win since then at play-off hopefuls Bristol City o...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Joke decision, it isn't like they were top all season and are suddenly out of the playoffs after losing 10 games in a row  From the outside it looks to be an odd decision but I think I heard correctly that WBA haven't won at home this year and they only managed a draw at home to Ipswich on Sa...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Watched yesterday's game from the Executive Lounge. Liverpool dominated in very tricky conditions but could have created a bit more (strange thing to say in a 4 goal win I guess) Not sure that will be nearly enough if refs are going to continue making stuff up as they go along in City's favour mind...

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

Good to see that so many posters saw it how it was-a crap game but a fabulous result. One thing that is annoying me more and more-the apparent injuries to players. Both sides were guilty of staying down as if they suffered a career-threatening injury and then bounced up after a drink and a cuddle ap...
