Re: BFTG Barnsley

First away game for me in a long time. Don't think I will bother going again for a while. We were utterly devoid of creativity, bar one decent cross which resulted in our goal. Their equaliser infuriated me. A full back who played regularly under Van Gaal at United decides in injury time to complet...

Re: Sheff Weds - Back from the game

Their player was through on the keeper so what has Gorkss got to do with it? Gorkks was a few yards behind the play This is the bit that gets me from Adkins; 'Okay, the referee gives a penalty, but there's no way it should have been a red card' If it was a penalty then it has to be a red card. Why ...

Re: Sheff Weds - Back from the game

Floyd has taken a hell of alot of of stick on this thread, and whilst he is a miserable git, I can't say I disagree with any of the key criticisms he makes. Adkins should not be trying to deflect the heat onto the officials for one of the most obvious red cards you'll ever see. No options at all for...

My hero...we can only but dream that one day this would happen.....and......he's a good a manager as he was player Where do I start with this........ I'll just deal with the last bit. He was a bit part player for his entire career with us. One that was never considered good enough to hold down a fi...

Re: NO LONGER A RUMOUR - Wayne Bridge

I must be missing something here as this seems an utterly bizarre signing; we release 2 geriatric (in football terms) left backs and replace them with another one who has barely played a game for the last few seasons. I am completely indifferent to this signing and fully expect him to get injured wi...

Re: Zingarevich

Sunderland and QPR are the best examples of why spending shed loads of money doesn't gurantee success. Both could be relegated with us this season with similar points tallys. Swansea and Wigan should be the examples for us- spending a little bit of money wisely, but first and foremost, having a foot...

It was an unfortunate atmosphere yesterday. Normally i would never condone the antics of the crowd, but yesterday the vast majority seemed to be the end of their tethers with this managerial regime The sarcastic clapping of the Leigertwood substitution and the booing was more aimed at the manager th...

LOL @ Gunnarsson being part of our initial 25 man PL squad. " That's why you're going down " 'Good Honest Pro' = Absolutely Pony as a footballer Really don't understand all the love this guy gets- he did a job for a number of years, but was never more than a bit part player. Just  at...

Re: Where was Guthrie again?!

Emerse Fae, Marek Matejovsky, Daniel Carricco and Danny Guthrie. All signed with hope and optimism, in the belief that they would transform us into a competitive premisership team. Apparently none of them have been good enough for us. Tells me that the club is cluless in how it integrates any player...

Re: Stoke v Reading match thread, sponsored by fat lady in w

In summary:

Fair score
Not a penalty
We defended well in the main
We were atrocious with the ball- particularly Ledg, Akpan and Kebe. Simple passes miss placed time after time. That breakaway at 1-0 down when Kebe tried to slide in Pog, who then fell over, summed us up going forward today

We move on
