Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

It was ok for about 20 minutes and then it just fizzled out. I have no problem with the concept. It’s in the wrong place. Still think it should be behind the goal in the ED. Got told the club didn’t want to displace existing ST holders but looking at the ground yesterday you’d probably only need to ...

Re: Team for Bolton (h)

McNulty or Baldock ? Was going to make this a separate topic; but in the circumstances, team for Saturday is the right one to raise this question. Are they too similar ? I must admit I was more impressed with Baldock on Tuesday night rather than McNulty; but it was only during the highlights after;...

Re: BFTG Birmingham

,and I agree with those posters who feel that non-regulars should be encouraged and not frowned upon. At least they got better value than for the Burton game last season . Ermmm, no. Those people who had no interest in being there, didn’t watch the football and talked non football related shite non...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

He was rubbish when at Arsenal. Remember seeing him play at the Madejski when he was on loan (to Hull I think) and thought he looked a total shocker back then. Classic that he signed for Sunderland. Just shows how bad they were for so many years.

Keane Bryan is an awful name.

Re: Season 2018-19 Prediction League

So if we suddenly announce Liam Moore is staying (and playing) will there be a mad scramble to change predictions? What i do find funny is that 3 of the guys who think we will lose have the screen names, everhopeful, reading4eva and personally my favourite is 3points. you couldn't write this shiz. ...

Re: CONFIMRED - George Evans to Derby

Derby have beaten both Wolves and Southampton in pre season. Apparently playing high tempo pressing game. Hence Huddlestone hasn’t played much

We’ll need to by pass their high press by playing long balls on Friday to our new 5’7” striker

Re: Palace(H) friendly Saturday July 28th

I don’t like to scapegoat but I felt the first two goals were very largely due to Aluko’s ineptness as a wide midfielder. He really doesn’t work there I’d much rather play a proper wide midfielder or hard working winger (McCleary, Harriott, Yiadom or even Clement) and f Aluko has to play, then as a...

Re: Palace(H) friendly Saturday July 28th

Barrow is as big a part of the problem as Aluko imho. Doesn’t do his defensive duties, and has no end product. Cannot play a simple pass to a team mate while on the counter attack. I’d play him as a second striker alongside Bod or Meite where he wouldn’t have to do much defensively Struggling to fin...

Let’s not forget that Evans may want to leave to play regular football rather than sit on the bench as Meyler’s back up

Re: George Evans

There's a decent footballer in there so sorry to see him go and sad that we haven't made the most of his potential. Not sure playing as a true defensive midfielder is his best position. When he arrived he described himself as a box to box type player iirc and had scored a bit for Walsall. He'll do w...

at a guess i'd say 400-500 from Reading and perhaps double that from Fulham? That is probably swelled by a few neutrals and family sat behind the players' dug outs
