Re: SPECULATION - Danny Williams

I liked him but would be wary of taking him back unless fully fit. Wages not really relevant as he is out of contract now, and no Prem or probably upper champ club will take him ,and certainly not on 40k a week If he wanted to come, and was happy to play on a reasonable wage, I wouldn't be sad to se...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

The industry has changed Genome, think that is the problem Realistically, not sure there is that much left in the old style journo following the team round. I'm guessing it might end up where you have accredited people from blog sites like Tilehurst End ending up doing a little bit of press conferen...

Re: Rival Watch

Sorry, I didn't quite crop the quote. Ilori. He was dogshit. Well he wasn't though, was he? Dogshit is harsh and I would say he was a reasonable success. Had a mistake in him but a reliable CB who at times looked really class. He was a Rolls Royce that had a flat battery. I quite like that OMA. Did...

yeah, likewise Miazga and even Ejaria and Baker have done well recently, and could be instrumental in keeping us up

Re: Rival Watch

9pt deduction for Brum apparently. Not quite enough to really drag them into it, but a couple more defeats and they'll be worried Seeing as their next 3 games are WBA, Leeds and Sheff Utd, I would say it is plenty to drag them into it. In fact, all of their last games now become huge, as their othe...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

I think Moore has probably been a lot better than we perceive sometimes. He's done fairly well at times. He isn't perfect, but he doesn't make too many errors, lose too many headers etc. I think he's actually had a pretty good season POTS for me would be Yiadom > > > Rino > Moore > Swift Meite Black...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Any other club and I’d think it’d be minor.

POTS by a country mile - though Gunter is an ‘adequate’ replacement; be a huge blow if he is out for any period

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Yiadom out of the Ghana squad due to injury. Excellent :(

Have this nagging feeling that Miazga is going to get crocked this break as well whilst with the US, and we'll end up with McShane for the rest of the season.

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

I think he's grown :) He posed for a pic with my kids, nice guy that he is. Definitely bigger than 5ft 8. Looking at the pic he is a bit shorter than Osho and McIntyre, so guessing 5ft11-6ft Maybe he's one of those people who looks taller than he is? Like Mike Tyson. Or maybe your kids have shrunk?...

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

Bolton were as good as down anyway imo

Where things would get interesting and beneficial for us is if their results got expunged being as we only got 1 point of them

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

Well yeah - we signed O Shea (6ft 3), Meyler (6ft 2), Ezatolahi (6ft 2), Walker (6ft 7), gave Meite (6ft 1?) a long contract and signed an aggressive FB in Yiadom. This to add to first teamers Jaakkola, Moore, Ilori, Blackett, Bodvarsson who all above 6ft. From standing near Rino I’m guessing he is...

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

Do we need any more prediction posts showing everyone’s fixtures to know we are in the shit and need to win some big games?

Think we can all agree on that one. Don’t think anyone is pretending otherwise

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

Westwood52 . Knowing the fortitude of our lot we may put in a horror show of a performance.

.

Not sure thats always the case. We've actually done ok in must-win type games recently - such as Cardiff/QPR/Preston last year, Wigan/Ipswich recently.

Obvs the odd Sheff Wed/Ipswich 'horror show' of last season.
