Re: Josh Sims - Confirmed?

We signed a player who had a great record as a goal scorer in this division on loan last season, and he was genuinely as bad a player as Inhave seen at the club in the last 5 year’s You complain we have no pace, movement or quality up front (which I disagree with) and we sign someone who apparently ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h) sponsored by Notlob is Bolton backwards

I agree our defence shouldn’t be our weakness. Yiadom, Moore, Ilori and Obita if he gets back to his previous level is as good as any in the division imo

That’s why it’s so disappointing to concede the goals we have (and to have had first the Moore situation then the McShane selection)

Re: Josh Sims - Confirmed?

Cool, happy enough with that. Hopefully add a bit of extra life to the attacking play

Seemed to go completely under the radar. I reckon PC will prob let Popa and/or Harriott in the very near future

Re: Rumour: Nathan Dyer (loan)

Glenn Murray did ok

Grabban wasn’t awful. Helped us get to the play off final. Not as good as hoped but did a job

Martin was atrocious last year.

Wouldn’t class it as a panic signing. Clement obvs knows him well and we very clearly need back up for Barrow, if not starting opposite him

I didn’t ask for it in every game, just pointed out our points total if we had

A clean sheet in 1 league game would be a start. And hardly an outrageous demand

Re: Reading FC Womens World

See the Women started the season well with a 4-1 in the northern (wtf?) section of the league cup. In the same group as Man U, Liverpool and Durham

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h) sponsored by Notlob is Bolton backwards

That’s such a basic way of looking at it The defence completely is a big problem (if not ‘the’ problem) because under the smallest amount of pressure they cave in and concede a simple chance. To say the defence has been keeping us in games is laughable. Bolton had another in a similar vein where the...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

exactly that. The Meite goal we scored against Brum looks to me exactly how we want to play. We almost scored a repeat when Meite went through against Bolton. Basically forward #1 comes into space, receives the ball, little one two with forward #2 and then ball through for the winger to come inside ...

Re: Clement OUT!!!!

anti-football is an utterly bizarre interpretation of what we are currently doing w@nk isn't though. No I think we were referring to when Cooper was here. The anti-football of the Stam era. We are a lot better than that under Clement, at least we try to go forward. in that case I wouldn't disagree ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h) sponsored by Notlob is Bolton backwards

For the most part I thought McShane had a decent game but he was caught horribly for the goal. Looking on Whoscored he won as many headers as Wheater, 3 more than Moore The flat-footed error LOOKED horrible, but Swift failed to challenge for the midfield error, Moore moved out of shape and was thus...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

Totally agree on movement. McNulty and Baldock consistently ran into gaps and asked for the ball. McNulty especially was often in space between the lines and wasn’t passed to

Re: Clement OUT!!!!

I think there are plenty of other clubs in the division who would be happy to be given the investment the board has given, and the number of players in the squad for example. Apparently we pay decent wages as well. have the likes of Bolton, QPR and Sheff Weds all in or coming off embargoes, decent t...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

McShane - 6. Dealt with pretty much everything that came his way. . What? Seriously I think McShanes performance was one of the worst I've ever seen from a CB. Every time he cleared a ball it went straight to the opposition. He got absolutely bullied by the Striker all game, and then he was caught ...

Re: Clement OUT!!!!

I like Clement and he's really had his hands tied. He needs 2-3 windows to offload the average players/deadwood in the squad. He's not had any real decent players ready to step out from the academy given the lack of funds. We've lacked a real amount of youngsters being able to step up. Rinomhota ma...

Re: Clement OUT!!!!

Clement is an adequate manager at this level and adequate for a club like ours. If we stick with him and allow him to build a team over the next few seasons, even if we drop down a division it will be the correct thing to do. There’s no quick fix that hasn’t been tried already. He needs to ship pla...
