Re: BFTG - Preston

Why do you say we look a team destined for relegation and then say Clement will get it right and we will stay up? Which is it? I said that at this moment we look like a side destined for the drop. Because of the indecision in our play and not a clear and perfected method of play that is efficient a...

Re: BFTG - Preston

I was at Deepdale and it was a great feeling to finally win a game in the league this season. But the truth was we look a side destined for relegation come May. We won because we have some talented attacking players on the pitch and also because Preston are poor at the back which helped us. The fact...

Re: Team for Preston (A)

I agree that he hasn't been at his absolute best. But McShane is experienced and he is aggressive and a warrior at the back. Warrior? Really? He has been like a kitten since midway through last season, his heart and desire have gone imo. If we want an aggressive warrior at the back, there's plenty ...

Re: Clement

It takes a few years to build a good football team and Clement needs the time. Clement would be breaking new ground. He's never been anywhere longer than about 6 months? It took Bielsa at Leeds about 1 month? And they haven't even made the playoffs in more than a decade. Did it always take Warnock ...

Re: Where have the hardcore gone? Culture loss.

It's the club who are losing in the end by protecting the players from the media. We don't feel connected to this group of players. Not like we felt so connected to Glenn Little, Harps and the rest. As the connection fades, people get less interested and the passion starts to die. The players should...

Re: Where have the hardcore gone? Culture loss.

I think our players need to come out and talk to the media more. That is part of the problem in terms of the detachment factor. We don't really know these players anymore. What makes them tick. What motivates them. What their interests are. Who they are as people. We knew Hahnemann (Mr Motor head, ...

Re: Team for Preston (A)

My team for PNE would be: GK: Mannone RB: Gunter LB: Yiadom CB: Moore CB: McShane RW: Sims CM: Bacuna CM: Ezatolahi LW: Barrow CF: Bodvarsson CF: Baldock How can you possibly want McShane to play? He's finished. What a terrible call that is, baffling. I agree that he hasn't been at his absolute bes...

Re: Clement

I haven't read this whole thread but Clement has to be IN for me. It takes a few years to build a good football team and Clement needs the time. Clarke never had the time (Deservedly so). But if he did have the time, I reckon he could have built a promotion winning side. McDermott never had the time...

Re: IFollow probs.

I was unable to stream Ifollow from the PS4. That was a shame because if I could steam it through the safari web browser on the PS4 then I could have watched the Blackburn game on the big screen. Instead I had to watch the game from the smaller Ipad screen using the Reading FC Ifollow app on ios. I ...

Re: BFTG - Forest away

There is nothing wrong with the strikers that we have. We just need to create more and better chances. Bodvarsson was good against Forest but he didn't really have a major chance. They were more half chances. A few more crosses into the box and chances created and the goals will come. In terms of pe...

Re: BFTG - Forest away

I was at the Forest game and I don't believe the problem is in the striking department. We played well at Forest. Things are definitely improving and a good result is now only around the corner. These last two games against Derby and Forest are the best we've played since Clement became the manager....
