Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

I like this signing more and more. More on field leadership, greater depth and potentially more tactical flexibility without breaking the bank.

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Delighted the club have finalised this. Had a few clubs after him, good age, willing to learn and has qualities a captain possesses. Good eye for goal when at Barnet too: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NzrXzp9z66o Although that eye for goal appeared to have deserted him at Barnsley where he failed t...

Re: RUMOUR - Andy Yiadom

Solid signing if it goes ahead.

Capable at this level with the potential to play higher and won't break the bank.

Would also show that PC is not doing a Stam and sitting around waiting to complete last minute transfers .... or about to leave to join Napoli :D Stam didn't do that either: 2016-17 8 July Joseph Mendes 11 July Anssi Jaakkola 14 July Jonathan Swift 16 July Roy Beerens 29 July Yakou Meite 5 August C...

Re: Rumour: Denis Kolinger

Well, the internet clips of him suggest he's about 9ft tall but seems a reasonable ball playing cb. Does like to fly into a tackle though (reckless? poor positioning and reading of the game?) so maybe a red card waiting to happen and I've no idea what standard the Croat top flight is, although he is...

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

What about Paddy McNair. CB/DM and one of the few Sunderland players who actually seemed to give a shit? Agreed, but I'd imagine Sunderland would want to keep him and build around. Although since they've parted company with Chris Coleman, who knows who'll be managing, and what their ideas are.... M...

Re: Breaking News on the BBC - Aluko Leaving!!!!!

Very similar players tbf, quick, likes to run down blind alleys and no end product.

What odds her turning up at Reading Ladies next season?

Re: Play-Offs Thread 2018

Big question though, if Villa lose, will Terry put on a Fulham shirt and gatecrash the celebrations?

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Not sure what Everton supporters want from life really. Are they genuinely expecting to be a top 4 powerhouse qualifying for Champions League football year after year? Allardyce saved them from doom and to finish 8th means he has done a great job in my opinion. He should have been given the summer ...

Re: World Cup 2018

I remember one South Korean player who played for Perugia scored to knock them out, and he then got blacklisted from ever playing in Italy again. Not quite what happened. The Perugia chairman sacked Ahn for "destroying Italian football" then changed his mind (mainly because he was their b...

Re: England - the future....

I like Southgate. He clearly has a plan going forward and hes looking to pick players on form rather than reputation.

England won't win it but I think QFs and a squad for the next 8 years taking shape would be an excellent return.

Re: Play-Offs Thread 2018

I'd be inclined to agree but it's John Terry. I'd be happy with Villa winning and something unpleasant happening to John Terry, something like a video of him face fcuking a reluctant rabbit gets inadvertently played over the Wembley Jumbotrons at full time.

Re: CONFIMRED - Dave Edwards

He is just a nothing footballer. Every game I have watched him in he has offered nothing and the game just passes him by, recklessly gave away that penalty against QPR which could have sent us down, then that sending off at Villa. Nice bloke (as everyone keeps on saying), just hasn't worked out for...

To be honest, I don't know what more you would expect the CEO of any company to say in an interview with a local hack other than a assessment of the past year and a broad statement of future intent.

Re: Gourlay

Sorry guys but I think you’re being ridiculous. He comes across as fairly measured and makes a few interesting points. How did you want him to come across? Like Winston Churchill? Or maybe shouting whilst doing star jumps? He wasn’t doing the half time team talk. He’s the CEO not the fitness instru...
