Re: RIP - Gordon Neate

Definite club legend - RIP Gordon. Was he the guy that put neat weedkiller on the pitch just before the start of the season (can't remember year) but the pitch was dreadful for months He also caught some Bournemouth fans paint spraying before the game at Elm Park back in 75 and gave them a good hid...

Re: RIP - Gordon Neate

SCIAG Few people have given as much to this club as Gordon. Deserves a blue plaque next to Maurice Evans and Roy Tranter.

I second that!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (h) sponsored by not long to desperation

Looking on Twitter it appears there is a movement to get that poor fella with cancer to walk the team out and have applause on the 10th minute. Really worried that in amongst the good intentions there are people who are just in it for themselves. Has anyone asked the bloke if he wants all this? Mig...

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

Moving on... how about this cracker from Jose? Mourinho says Reading, who sit 21st in the Championship table, will present a similar challenge to the games his side face week in, week out in the top flight. "I think the Championship teams are much better than before," Mourinho said on MUT...

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

I was sat in the Arsenal directors area and had a toasted bagel at halftime. Living the dream, gr8 m8. I sat in front of two of the most drunken twats I've ever had to put up with - which from me is saying something. I remember our moronic fan base chanting at Van Persie that he was a rapist or som...

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

Don't worry - OMA is a good poster, he just comes out with the odd burst of complete nonsense every now and then I think old man andrews is spot on. You only have to look at our away tie against Arsenal in the League Cup back in 2005 era when we took 200,000 away fans 99% of them being daytrippers....

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

Christ talk about being bloody miserable , I've been to every game we've played at Man U over the last twenty years, as many other away games, how dare you call true fans day trippers. Get a life Don't worry - OMA is a good poster, he just comes out with the odd burst of complete nonsense every now...

Re: BFTG Wigan.

I disagree, I think his relationship with the fans is non-repairable now, with the chants of "Off, off, off" when he got booked from our own fans. Pretty sad how juvenile some of our fans are, I don't particularly rate him but how will that help his confidence at all. I see J Low try to r...

Re: BFTG Wigan.

I explained my point in that way because in my opinion, that is the best way to describe the reason that Gunter plays the way he plays. Gunter is actually an excellent player. He is very good. He has been a fantastic player for us in the past. But I think the way he performs nowadays is because of ...

Re: BFTG Wigan.

Snowflake Royal I suggest that using words like radicalised and poisonous to describe a way of playing football badly is offensive, insensitive, inappropriate and ignorant.

Re: BFTG Wigan.

Gunter was dissapointing at Wigan. Pre Stam, he was a very good player. But he has been radicalised by Stams poisonous, total possession football ideology. He just refuses to go forward. He keeps taking us back and back and back. He needs to enter a rehabilitation programme and be completely de-rad...

From Despair To Where?
Snowflake Royal I'm a bit worried about strap, he doesn't normally launch into a stupid rant and then fail to stick around. Normally he follows it up with a couple of other daft rants.

Nursing the mother of all hangovers, I'd imagine.

Nah! It's just the wrong time of month for strap.

Re: Clement's week on a beach in Dubai last week

I wonder how he enjoyed his week in Dubai whilst the rest of the squad, sports scientists, coaches etc were hard at work at Hogwood during the current international break? Back today I believe to a not very wholesome reaction. Dressing room lost. Not doubt considering what to spend the remaining 2½...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Nope, for someone who has about 5 generations of family living in the Reading area, 2 generations before me (that I know of) having season tickets at Elm Park and having a keen interest in history, I never knew that Reading used to be called the Biscuitmen. But you carry on making your assumptions....

What are you morons on? Step forward Mick McCarthy/Steve Bruce/I would rather waitfor the right man? We aren't actually looking for a manager, we have one and he has not long started the job, give him a chance. Sir Alex had 4 fruitless and average years at Manchester United before he picked up a tro...

Re: BFTG Millwall Home

Light years is a measure of distance not time. Actually, it is just a cliche and used as a measure of ability. When used there will be someone or something happening to compare two or more parties, so that one could be said to be light years ahead of others. Yes, I know how it is used figura...
