Re: Tiago llori

Probably a player better suited to the European game. Would be a good move for us and him if it happens.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (h) sponsored by a new hope

Pleased to say I could not go today for family reasons so avoided the latest debacle. I felt at the time that appointing Gomes would be a disaster and I have seen nothing to change ny mind yet. It really does seem as though the club hierarchy want the club to fail. I just don’t get it. And I just do...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers sponsored by the Simod Cup started here

Wtf is going on? Inform QPR Vs injury and suspension depleted reading team in horrific form playing AWAY And we are destroying them in almost all stats Possession Passes Shots Pass accuracy To top it all off Gooding says a neutral would say we would be the more likely to score. And Dellor says we l...

Re: BFTG- Millwall (a)

Watched highlights on SS and thought both sendings off were ridiculously harsh. Looks like the luck is just not with us this season. Added to this our best chance of survival was to stick with Clement and so frankly the club hierarchy have most likely doomed us to League 1.

Re: José Gomes whelmguage

I really think that there is a good chance that the new manager will only last 10 or so games. I said in another thread a few days ago that this was a bonkers appointment and I have heard nothing to change my mind. Nothing against the guy at all and very much hope I am wrong. But it just seems like ...

Re: Are we really going down this season

When Clement was here most seemed to think we had a 50 50 chance of staying up. I reckon that with recent results and a manager who will have to adapt to this division we are now 95% to go down.

And I used to be called an RTG.

Re: New Manager

My excitement/expectation level with Jovanovic would have been an 8, with Ainsworth an 8 too,....with this guy its a 1 but ill give him a 2 , so maybe could be presently surprised . expecting more portuguese mid range players coming through the door through same agent any lets hope im wrong https:/...

Re: The Reading FC players who fans want to keep or sell in January transfer window

People keep saying we have a bloated squad but many of those we probably don't want such as VDB, Gravenberch and Popa are already on loan. I make it that if we include young players such as Rimonhota and Loader that we have a first team squad of 30 currently available but some with long term injurie...

Re: Rumour - Tyler Blackett to Wigan

Think he has been one of our better players when given the chance this year - much better than he was last season and so I doubt we would let him go before the summer as we are so short of defenders right now. But the way things are going who knows?

Re: Rumour - Coniah Boyce-Clarke

Reading's 15-year old keeper wanted by ManU apparently https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/man-united-cast-eye-over-reading-fc-player-ahead-of-january/ That would be a shame if he wants to go I think we would only get £40K compensation for each year he has been in the Academy as he cannot sign a pro ...

Re: New Manager

What a disaster of an appointment Far too soon to be throwing these statements out there, we simply don't know which is part of the problem. I just don't think this is this time to take risks. Yep agreed. He has experience and is well traveled But still... And barely lasts more than 12 months in an...

Be fair to the guy. First game in some months.

Nor has Edwards played for ages but he played well.

Re: New Manager

If he does come then obviously I wish him well. His track record does not such longevity at Reading FC. Baffled why we have gone all out to get him. The more I think about this the more baffled I get. I could have got quite excited about Ainsworth for example. Relatively young up an coming manager ...

Re: New Manager

Somebody (none of the local press will) needs to get to the bottom of why we are seemingly obessesed with getting a Portuguese manager in at all costs. What is the connection? There is obviously something in it for someone. It's the Iranian spiv's doing. Watch Gomes now buy half a dozen of the Iran...

Re: New Manager

I suppose the club hierarchy think that "any" foreign manager (even one no one had ever heard of until a week or so ago) is better than "any" British manager!

Rant over.

Re: New Manager

he's on his way.... http://sportwitness.co.uk/portugal-manager-way-reading-deal-made-official-thursday/ I really hope I am proved wrong but my prediction is that he gets us relegated and that we sack him at the end of the season and appoint someone like Ainsworth who has League 1 experience. Mad ap...

Re: New Manager

Personally think Gomez would be a huge mistake. He might be good but to come in to the cut and thrust of the Championship with no experience of English football and with the squad at such a low point will almost certainly take us down. I would prefer Parkinson or Ainsworth myself. If they are not av...

Re: Feyenoord at MadStad tonight 7pm

Good performance tonight. Thought we defended very well. On the two occasions they got through Mannone made a couple of great stops. I thought Richards had a good half and Medford-Smith did well second half but all 5 of the defenders had a good game and I never felt we were in much danger at the bac...

See Axel Anderson has moved on permanently Same day as he got called up to the Iceland first team from the look of it Good luck to the lad - tbh didn’t think he was quite good enough from the few times I saw him Really surprised we have let him go as I thought from what I have seen of him that he m...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (h) sponsored by Colin

I'm sorry, but Scott Marshall is not the answer, Aluko, seriously? SM has zero presence and the team is clueless and totally without edge! If we appointed Gardiola it would make little difference. I don’t think the issue is the manager hence why I thought it a tad harsh to get rid of PC. Whoever yo...
