Re: Clement

Clement already had a clean slate as far as I'm concerned. He hasn't really done anything wrong so far and he has been badly hampered. His leadership through a very difficult period and under extremely challenging circumstances has been highly impressive. With more stability upstairs hopefully the n...

Great appointment by the club.

It looks like our owners mean business.

Re: BFTG Wigan.

I explained my point in that way because in my opinion, that is the best way to describe the reason that Gunter plays the way he plays. Gunter is actually an excellent player. He is very good. He has been a fantastic player for us in the past. But I think the way he performs nowadays is because of h...

Re: BFTG Wigan.

Gunter was dissapointing at Wigan. Pre Stam, he was a very good player. But he has been radicalised by Stams poisonous, total possession football ideology. He just refuses to go forward. He keeps taking us back and back and back. He needs to enter a rehabilitation programme and be completely de-radi...

Re: BFTG Wigan.

Swift was excellent at Wigan.

He can definitely be part of a successful Reading team. But we need a better balanced side and squad. We need better quality all over the pitch.

Re: Wigan (a)

They didn't bother opening the Marquee bar for us. There was the Red Robin pub nearby or Frankie and Bennys.

Re: BFTG Wigan.

Clement made the comment in post match interviews that we were in control of the game. This was kind of true and untrue at the same time. Yes we did dominate the play for large parts of that game. Especially in the second half where we really did have the lions share of the possession and the play. ...

Re: BFTG Wigan.

I think there were defensive lapses. We somehow managed to keep a clean sheet but our defending looked poor at times this afternoon. Nothing comical. But poor marking and failing to pick people up resulted in Wigan having far too many chances for a team that were dominated by us particularly in the ...

Re: Wigan (a)

The Wigan game should be alright.

It's the Rotherham game that looks like it could be more impacted by the strike action.

The trains between Doncaster and Sheffield are going to be reduced. Rotherham being on that route.

11:30 Orion? That means we'll be on the same train..... damn.

Let me know what carriage you're in and I'll make sure I am at the other end of the train.

Re: Rotherham away Saturday December 15th

Yeah. It's too expensive from Reading. Luckily I live in London. I can understand why QPR took 1000 to Preston and we took less than 300. London is so well connected and cheaper to travel from. Just two hours to Wigan and Preston and can be done for £50. Rotherham just over 2 hours. From Reading it'...

In X2 going by train- 9.45am from Reading change at Sheffield- arrive Rotherham 1.18pm Thought the rail companies and the government were going to sort out train pricing !!!!! Re: Wigan (a)

I'm in for this as well.

Got my train tickets for me and my boy for just £52. And being just 2 hours by train from Euston mean it feels like a local derby. It would be nice if we could take a few up.

Re: The very latest in Clement In/Out Polls

In - but its a 60/40 decision Was not a fan of the appointment, but he seems to have identified the issue with this group is down to mindset and attitude rather than raw talent. I think we have a tough January window ahead of us. We need to get players out but we also need to strengthen in some key...

Re: The very latest in Clement In/Out Polls

Ascot, you think a new manager will do better in a January window than Clement? A new manager will come in clueless about this team and will spend the next 6 months finding out about them all. Clement has already been through that process of learning about this bunch of players and knows better tha...

Re: The very latest in Clement In/Out Polls

Definitely IN for me. Nobody understands the problems better than Clement. Clement knows what the issues are and I'm confident he will find the solutions. He has shown great leadership so far. Yes results haven't been fantastic but a lot of improvement needs to be made in so many areas before we can...

Re: BFTG - Ipshit H

Perhaps that is why there are four teams below us! Our league position is largely down to our dire (and slightly unlucky) start with just two points from six games. since then we have W4 D2 L5 = 14 points from 11 which translates to a 46 game haul of 58.5 or mid-table. The opening game v Derby was ...
