Re: Rival Watch

Notts Royal Hull v Luton at the weekend - can see Luton escaping

If any of the current bottom 3 are going to get out of it, it is them. GD is not their friend though so definitely need Charlton and Huddersfield to lose this weekend.

Re: BFI Follow Middlesborough

Talking about home records. Under Bowen we are W6 D4 L7. Not great at all but a definite improvement on the W1 L4 we started with.

Re: Rival Watch

Even with there 12 point deuction they are likely to now be in the championship. Is this a first for a team going into administration getting a points deduction and still staying up? I hope that someone does save them nobody wants another bury situation on there hands. Is Dave Whelan likely to step...

Re: BFI Follow Middlesborough

The Madejski used to be a fortress as well, our terrible home form really only started in Adkins' second season EDIT: Actually looking at our record, our home form wasn't even that bad until Stam's 2nd season but it does feel like it's been going on for longer. In the PL we won 4 home games. In Adk...

Re: BFI Follow Middlesborough

Just looked the stats up. If we lose to Swans that'll be 12 home defeats in a season - a new club record. We've lost 30 home games in the last three seasons. We've lost 10+ home games in three of the last six seasons. In the 1930s we lost just 10 home games in seven seasons FFS. If Elm Park was a f...

Re: BFI Follow Middlesborough

We all finished wetting the bed yet? Cabral - 7 couple of good saves. Osho - 6 ok Blackett - 6 ok Morrison - 7 quality McIntyre - 6 less good game Moore - 6 not even remotely a midfielder Rinomhota - 6 subdued Swift - 5 too slow and wayward for too much of the game, should be running the show Olise...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h) sponsored by Chris Rea

Sorry all but most of these posts read like entitled drivel and of those who made their mind up on Bowen on day 1 and can't wait to be proved right. Sorting this shitshow out takes time, he has done the defensive part of the job now, adding more attacking potentcy is the next and hardest part. That ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h) sponsored by Chris Rea

And people are wondering why others are unsure of Bowen still  Sit back on a 1-0 lead once again and lose the lead again! And repeat. He’s steadied the ship but it’s dire viewing, and he isn’t improving it in terms of that aspect Our home record has been dire for almost a decade. Bowen's got u...

Snowflake Royal Well, we may be looking for a right back. though Osho's doing ok.

Isn't Dickie a towering centre back though?

Don't drive there then. If fans are allowed next season, always found best way to get there is train to Marlow. Drink in the Donkey, if it's still there, and 10mins in a cab from there.

Book the same taxi on way back and repeat. Job done.

Re: Ups & Downs 19/20

Norwich relegated following their thrashing by West Ham coupled with Watford's win. Those results pretty much confirming Bournemouth and Villa for the drop too barring a miracle escape. Just catching up on MOTD and I was impressed to hear the Norwich fake crowd noise booing at the end  Leicest...

Re: Ups & Downs 19/20

Srsly, why are they playing these games at Wembley? An empty Wembley must be worse than an empty anywhere else. Could have played this one at the Madjeski. Or Loftus Road. Possibly only chance for some of those players to play there. Playing a competitive game at Wembley even if empty must be bette...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Following on from Bremen staying in the Bundesliga on away goals, Nürnburg avoid a second successive relegation via the same means. Only tells part of the story though - following a 2-0 1st leg win over Ingolstadt they found themselves 3-0 down in the 2nd leg as the game entered injury time only to ...

Pepe the Horseman City allowed back in the CL and fine reduced to €10m. Lol.

That's FFP fcuked then. Essentially the OK given to do what you want and then pay a relatively small fine at the end.

Re: Bowen's Tenure

If you had told me after Gomes got sacked that, under the new manager, we would be mathematically able reach the playoffs with 3 games left then I would've bitten your hand off. I'm fully behind him, he's steadied the ship after a horrendous few years, just need to rectify the home form and I think...

Re: BFIFOLLOW Charlton

Shame he can't produce any classic home performances. They are equally turgid without the results to compensate. So I guess you could equally say transfer what he's done at home since taking over to the whole season and we'd probably already be relegated. Also, with the crap officiating at this lev...
