Re: Le Fondre interview?

Perhaps the reason Adkins isn't playing ALF is because he already knows he's good enough for the Championship and is using the remaining games we have to suss out who else is? Would explain why Blackman has been given so much time recently. And he played ALF against Southampton because he want to be...

Re: Viagogo Ripoff

One thing I've learnt about Viagogo is that kids tickets sell at adult prices. So buying a kids ST is an absolute must whether you have kids or not. If we're still with Viagogo the next time we go up, I'm buying a couple of kids ST's and selling them at face value at adult prices. 19 home games x s...

Scutterbucketz Where is Cork Street?

I've found it on a map from 1931. It was actually where the Butts Centre/Broad Street Mall is now, so it would have disappeared in the early seventies.

Strange how it wasn't there before, but the town centre looks like a complete mess in the 1899 map.

Re: Old Reading FC memorabilia thread

Where is Cork Street? Not sure but I think it may have been a street off the Oxford Road that was lost to the IDR. Just a guess though. Spot on about Cork Street Timmy. I've been looking at old maps and still can't see it there. Interesting to see the amount of houses that got levelled to make the ...

Re: Coming soon to a cinema near you - Robin Friday The Movi

Take a look at the guy who is writing the film credentials. His name is Julian Stone. He's been an actor in some shite films and has written nothing of note. I have a feeling this is going to be "When Saturday Comes" bad.

Ok, what was it you said?

If it was that 75% to 90% of them are arseholes then I would be inclined to agree.

Re: BFTG - Liverpool

Did anyone one else see the large group of foreigners outside the Megastore at about 2pm? There was a group of about 40 or so adults and a few teenagers. A lot of them were in the megastore buying Reading shirts and other souvenirs. They were speaking German or Dutch. I couldn't tell. Was nice to se...

St. Brynjar His tackle on Gerrard was amazing.

Yeah I did a bit of a sex wee at that, Gerrard getting Gerrarded.

That was awesome.

He looked fukking knackered after 20 mins though. Looks promising though.

Re: BFTG - Liverpool

Shame, really. After 24 years they were finally, and rightly, given the moral high ground. It's just unfortunate that they are too classless to take it. If Robert Maxwell was still alive and had died this week, how do you think Reading fans would be reacting at a match? Yes, I doubt it would even b...

Re: BFTG - Liverpool

Not even talking about that. They were setting off fireworks & flares. You lot don't help yourselves. In fact I've never seen Liverpool come to Reading & not have any fans kicking off. You are without question the most badly behaved away fans I've seen. Even Cardiff have cleaned up their ac...

Absolutely. If it wasn't for his saves I would have zero interest in watching that again.

Re: You pay peanuts...you get...one of us?

The "no expenses" part is a disgrace. What sort of person could do a role like this? You'd have to have rich parents because I can't see you getting a Loan to pay for a car, fuel and away living expenses from any lender. I know a chap who is part of the prozone team at Bolton and he went s...

Re: SJM - Minutes silence vs Liverpool

I'll be quiet for the Hillsborough 96, but we all secretly know this is for Thatcher. This should be interesting. Would it be inappropriate to take up the clubs £15 offer of that free shirt printing and get "THATCHER No.1" put on the back? I sit next to the away fans in Y26 so could ask th...
