Re: Out of Contract 2022

NathStPaul Wouldn't mind Joe Allen tbh. He is available on a free. Rumoured that Swansea want him.

Big wage I suspect, even now

Re: Out of Contract 2022

Yep. The amount of times last year when various people inc myself said we’d happily see the back of this lot…

Tbh I’m still of that mindset.

Re: Out of Contract 2022

Ince could certainly play CAM as well, and sure he has played there a fair bit It’s not massively different to last year where DD and TDB came in and played plenty. And Semedo and Laurent the season before No doubts it’s a concern to have lost those two but not a huge one for me. rino barely played ...

Re: Rival Watch

Suspect having Bale there would massively increase merchandise and crowds though

Obvs a big gamble if he got injured mind you

Re: Out of Contract 2022

I said losing both Rino and Laurent would be devastating. Having 4 strangers (to begin with) playing in front of young CBs will be tough. In the long run it should be fine, but start on a bad run and watch morale drop like a stone. With all the restrictions in place, its another player we have to r...

Re: Tom Ince - Confirmed

Snowflake Royal
NewCorkSeth Anyone remember an interview with Pauno where he said Meite asked to play centrally?

Seth!!!!!

Was Bowen wasn't it. And scored a couple from the wing the next game and Bowen said that should shut him up for a couple of weeks.

Yep welcome back Seth :)

Re: Tom Ince - Confirmed

Meite actually got himself into ours and Clemente good books initially by playing CF iirc. He can do it, but yeah coming in off the right has generally where he’s looked best Not too sure why ince favours that right wing when he is so left footed though. Would rather him go on the outside and get cr...

Re: Out of Contract 2022

"Better the devil you know" and "be careful what you wish for" are two phrases that come to mind. With the restrictions we have in place there is very little chance we will do better than Rinomhota and Laurent. Not sure why anyone is happy to lose them, especially for nothing. N...

Re: Out of Contract 2022

Snowflake Royal Rino played less than half the games last season for those blaming him for how bad our midfield was.

Yeah it contributed - again another reason why I’m not that bothered as he barely played last year

Re: Out of Contract 2022

Shame. Was an absolutely solid Champ midfielder who kept it simple and did his job. And an Academy graduate. Brilliant attitude. We now have to sign an entire midfield. Anyone thinking we can replace him and Laurent easily is living in lalaland. No-one thinks we can replace them easily Keeping one ...

Re: Squad Watch 2022/23

Had the pair of them signed new deals you'd all be celebrating. The only reason Rinomhota and Laurent are being rubbished by some is because they are leaving. I’d have been fairly happy with Laurent and not bothered by Rino tbh Yes two gaps we need to fill but let’s remember they were part of a fai...

Re: Squad Watch 2022/23

How is it not a disaster to lose our starting central midfielders? Seems pretty important to me. Very good chance that whoever we replace Laurent and Rinomhota with won't be as good. Agreed - any nobber who really thinks we can lose Laurent, Swift and Rino and yet have a better team this coming sea...

Re: Squad Watch 2022/23

NathStPaul
Brogue QPR, Stoke City and Cardiff City have all tabled offers to Reading’s out of contract midfielder Andy Rinomhota, as per Bristol Live

Stoke need to have some sort of restraining order put on them. Leave us alone!

They’re welcome to them

Can have Moore back as well
