Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Wycombe Royal
Hound Play like we did last night and any one of the 92 teams in the top 4 divs would beat us

I don't think that Reading team would beat us, they looked dreadful.

Good point. Our u23 maybe

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Must say was a bit disappointed with the attendance Wednesday Going back to the Stam season, with some pretty dull football on display despite the relative success, think we were pulling in 16-19 most weeks Considering we could have gone 2nd… Guess it’s a bit of the lowering of expectations (maybe ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Lumley Baba McIntyre Hutchinson Yids Fornah Luom Hoilett Ince Meite Joao That’s how I’d line up if Long isn’t available. Hendrick needs dropping. He plays like someone’s already dropped him on his head so why not give Mr.Mistake a rest. .........................Lumley ......Yiadom, Hutchinson, Holm...

Re: Rival Watch

Ron waving his magic wand Bruce must be very close to the boot after that result Brum don’t look too bad mind you. Similar set up to us teamwise. Lots of cast offs, veterans and loans but grinding out points They’ll be their usual tricky selves, probably more down than up, but enough to stay up. As...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (h)

Surely Sarr will walk into this team when he`s fit again. but as with Loum he was immense against Blackburn picked up a knock, seemed like he was still carrying it last night, hope Naby isn`t the same. The fact that we should have a few players back v Huddersfield makes Saturday a massive game to g...

Re: BFTG - Sunderland (H)

Think they’ll have a shot at the top six, complete contrast to the shambles they were the last time they were in the Championship Although Mowbray has a recent history of strong runs followed by winless runs - Blackburn’s collapse was really poor last season It’s difficult to say really. They certa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Depends how fit Loum is. Was a liability yesterday.

Yea to the back 4, though Holmes has been better than McIntyre

Would be tempted to be more 4-4-2 with Ince or Meite up top with Joao. He gets too isolated otherwise

Re: BFTG - Sunderland (H)

Good question CR We played a similar game against Cardiff - kept possession, front foot. Stoke was a bit in between but the other games we’ve sat back far too much I don’t think Joao helps certainly. Be interesting to see if and when Carroll signs we play a bit better - he is excellent at hold up pl...

Re: BFTG - Sunderland (H)

Pretty abject from everyone last night. Not sure what else can be said. Sunderland looked decent - always at least one team who carries on their form from getting promoted out of League 1. Fu c king Patrick Roberts still keeps scoring against us, 2 well taken goals. Think they’ll have a shot at the...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Do find it a bit weird calling a club who have been around since mid 19th c like MK. Nevermind Actually chatted to a couple of Sunderland lads walking up and they were very friendly. They Also chatted pleasantly to a young lady who obvs had learning difficulties who was saying we’d thrash them and t...

We’ve bounced back well from previous hammerings - fairly confident we’ll do the same. Need to go right at it from the start, not the lame lethargic effort from last night

Re: BFTG - Sunderland (H)

I’m trying to think of a worse performance from us ever, but am struggling. There won’t have been many. It was basically like there were 11 school kids out there running around doing random stuff, not interconnected at all. I’m totally baffled. Wigan (H) under Bowen - game last night drew many simi...

Re: BFTG - Sunderland (H)

Anyway. What the hell was that smell there last night?

Seemed to be worst in car park 6 but it was so bad you could still smell it strongly in the stadium

Is it often like that? I can’t remember it.

Just a rancid cherry on top of a shitty cake of an evening

Paul Ince after match reaction: https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reading-fc-paul-ince-sunderland-25018674 All true but I guess, and I’m sure he is, he needs to look at himself and the coaching team as to why we went out so lethargic We shouldn’t need to keep getting our ars...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (h)

Genuinely bemused at how bad the performance was Sunderland were good. Quick, lively and aggressive. Thought their LB was excellent. But nothing to excuse just how bad we were Slow, predictable, easy to break down. We looked utterly hopeless Really hope it was just a one off. Complete contrast to ou...
