Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I was at the Rangers-Ross County game last Wednesday. The Rangers equivalent behind the goal were highly impressive: singing for the whole ninety minutes; almost no repetition of songs; were loud throughout the game and the events on the pitch had no impact on their support. Would be good if Club 1...

Re: STAR Exiles - Overview

From the STAR website: https://gcdnb.pbrd.co/images/wqL7xuunq1To.png?o=1 I wonder how many of these proposed branches in 2011 ever came to pass. Perhaps this was actually the golden age of the exile club - with increasing social media it could be distant royals are organising themselves via social m...

Re: Wanted - ROVERS (a)

Yes you're right - not on sale yet, and the fixture may yet be postponed due to international commitments.

Are you asking others to purchase tickets on your behalf, or is this just a first in the queue placeholder for any spares?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

It's weird that, outside of local rivals, it's fans of clubs like Derby and Portsmouth, who've both been within days of liquidation, who are enjoying our plight/wishing the worst for us. Yeah, it's all banter (ugh) at the end of the day, but there are some people you think would know better. It's e...

Royals and Racers
Royals and Racers Next up for the Royals is an away fixture against the Championship leaders Charlton this Sunday February 18th. The match is being played at the Oakwood ground in Crayford KO 2pm.

Match is live on the FA player.

The Penny Farthing is a smashing micro pub nearby, if anyone is making the journey.

Re: TV rights

In my day you'd go down to the pub to watch it, the price of beer typically being cheaper than a monthly subscription.

Not sure that still holds.

Re: How early have you taken your children to a game and it be ok?

Depends what you want I guess. Do these far flung second and third generation royals get to many games, or is it more of a follow online kind of arrangement? I just think if you're planning to go to games then logistically, practically, financially, common sensically it just has to be local otherwis...

Re: Carlisle (A)

I've been there once, for a random game, as a mate was driving up to watch Carlisle City play*. It's an odd ground, but the strangest thing to me was that the home end wasn't very popular. Fans seemed to prefer the uncovered side terrace. I liked it, but I can't imagine the view is great from the e...

Think i'll stick to 'Stow for a few more years yet based on the advice. There is a strong possibility i just end up going to Leyton Orient games with her instead and become a Leyton fan. Appreciate this is sacrilege on a football forum. I think that absolutely makes sense and plan to do the same (C...

Re: Oxford (A)

Oxford forum saying 130 tickets were refunded in the home ends due to being on the Reading FC database. Anyone able to verify this? That post seems to be the only source of that information. Being on the database doesn’t mean much by itself; I’m on the Brighton database as you had to join to get ti...

19 year old Mohamed-Ali Cho has been one of Real Sociedad's stand out players this season. From Staines Wikipedia seems to think that's Stains the suburb of Paris not Staines the shithole near London. have you ever been to staines :? its certainly not a shithole :| I see this a lot - I think becaus...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Reading4eva I was wondering if overnight camping on the pitch might work. Let the game play but then camp on there. Stream it to gain attention

I'd be up for that when it gets a bit warmer.

Take a portable barbecue and a few beers, make a weekend of it.

Re: “ Sell before we Dai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group v2.3b sponsored by Sports Direct Tennis Ba

The stewards have no say in this. How does he propose the game finishes with people on the pitch? He told me that they all had a briefing before the game from the police. and have been told there will be no abandonment. The police are aware of the Twitter chat and have prepared accordingly. it’s no...
