Re: Pauno out

The tweet about the resignation was from an official account. The one about him being sacked was from the fake account.

Re: Pauno out

If it's true that Pauno offered his resignation and was refused then I hope a few people on here will take back the abuse they've given him for not leaving. Someone of it has been pretty shocking.

Re: Do you approve of Saturdays pitch invasion?

It's a bit like when someone throws an egg at a politician I don't like. I know that in principle it's wrong, but it feel right.

Re: Brian 3.0

Brian till the end of the season would be a no brainer imo. If we went down, it wouldn't be on him. If we stayed up he'd be a hero again. Then walk away in the summer with his head held high. Knowing that club - we'd go on end of season winning streak under him, with everyone playing out of their s...

Re: Brian 3.0

Took us to safety in 2015/16? We weren’t too far off the playoffs when he joined. We ended no where near. Definitely would have persevered that summer rather than sack him but he didn’t do a good job in his second stint. He struggled with a fairly talented set of players My take on that period is t...

Re: Brian 3.0

Ok - I'll put my cards on the table - I want Brian McDermott back to manage our failing club. He's the second most successful manager in our history, has already offered to "help out" despite shabby treatment on two previous occasions. Would bring the feel good factor back, also he can't ...

Re: Pauno out

These reports wouldn't come from just one or two twitter rumours. At least one source from within the club has told respected journalist that Pauno is gone.

Maybe the owners are wrapping up the new manager arrangements before announcing. You know how the Chinese hate focusing on failure.

Re: Stadium renaming.

Derby signed a naming rights deal a few years ago for £10,000,000 over 7 years. I don't think for one minute that we agreed a £1m a season deal with SCL, but it gives it some context. Although, there's a chance that the Derby deal wasn't exactly above board either with all the other stuff Mel Morri...

Re: Pauno out

The club are damned if they do and damned if they don’t. I don’t care what fans of other clubs think. They can fukk off. To me the club are trying to make tomorrow a positive experience. Lots of kids will be there. They are the future supporters of our football club. I think the '500th game' sums u...

Re: How bad would relegation be?

all our debts are to the owner True. I've been wracking my brain to think of a valid reason why the owners would have a reason for running the club into the ground and out of existence. Build a nice country hotel on Bearwood? Convert all the land in and around the stadium into a state-of-the-art sh...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a)

I'm sure the usual suspects will soon be along to say everything will be fine and we just need x back and Pauno is good. Is there anyone on here left who doesn't think that Pauno needs to go? I mean, I don't subscribe the idea that he's this completely clueless guy who is the only things between RF...

Re: Stadium renaming.

First time I've seen a figure quoted anywhere but The Athletic reporting the stadium naming rights were sold for £1million a year on a 10-year deal. SCL profits for last 3 years have been ~4M on <20M turnover. Bunging 1M a year at RFC seems either remarkably generous or remarkably unsustainable. 1M...

Re: How bad would relegation be?

The one reason I think that relegation wouldn't be the end of the world is that at least it would take the pressure off the new managers a bit and give them breathing space to build long-term. We expect new managers to get results immediately - and are (usually) only a few poor results away from be...

Re: How bad would relegation be?

From a financial perspective - As long as the owners stay then our issue is with how FFP is managed/enforced rather than our actual income vs expenditure. I'm assuming that there are some kind of mitigating factors as otherwise pretty much every big Championship side that was relegated into League O...
