Re: Score predictions v Scunthorpe (H)

I predict a comfortable win after which the STG's on here will be very quiet and the RTG's will be saying we are definitely going to make the play offs.

Reading 2-0

andrew1957 I have no recollection of "sneering".

I do.

Bottom of page 2, sunshine. Better luck next year, indeed.

Personally I call that fair comment - not sneering!

Re: Get some perspective

I nearly headed this "if hobnobbers are truly representative of our fanbase we deserve to get relegated" - but that was a bit of a mouthful. Please get some perspective. Hi Andy, do you mind if I call you that? All very well and good of course, but I still remember your sneering post a ma...

Get some perspective

I nearly headed this "if hobnobbers are truly representative of our fanbase we deserve to get relegated" - but that was a bit of a mouthful. Please get some perspective. Rodgers came to the club at a difficult time. The owner - perhaps understandably as he clearly has money issues - has de...

Re: Rodgers is still the right man

The only thing keeping me going through this wretchedly awful season is the thought that every passing game brings us closer to the eventual departure of Brendan Rodgers. I think Rodgers is doing a good job with what he has available. He has also been unlucky with injuries to our attackers. He is a...

Re: Back from the Game - Crystal Palace

I was going to roast Federici but to be fair he has kept us in a lot of games this season, but tonight he probably cost us 3 points as I think we may have won if he had not had such a poor night. Actually thought we played ok in the first half until the madness at the end and we could easily have go...

Ian Royal 2-1
Pearce & McAnuff

Predicting a win Ian - next you will be saying BR is our best ever manager!

As for me I have a feeling it will be a draw - although obviously hoping you are right..

Re: Is Brendan Rodgers a fool?

The next 6 games are make or break for this season. We have 6 winnable games in a row before a much tougher run in January. If we win 4 or more of the 6 then we can start looking up the table and BR may well have made a good decision joining RFC - as we will probably end up mid table but with our yo...

IcelandicStokie According to this story in Icelandic and Swedish media IFK Gothenborg are interested in Gylfi Sigurdsson:

As he has just signed until 2012 and is a regular starter that will not happen.

Re: Cisse looking to quit

He has never really established himself as a shoe-in for a start. Would it be much of a loss? Probably not. But with the lack of cover defensively can we afford to let him go? Probably not. I think there may be a bit of a clear out in the summer but this one being to rid the club of players who hav...

Re: Shane Long Vs Simon Church SEASON WATCH

Steve Coppell said that he was happy to let Simon Cox go because we already had Shane Long - who is a better player. Oh dear :o

To be fair he is only 22 though and not 24 as was stated earlier.

Re: Cisse looking to quit

I think it would be a shame if Cisse went. Frankly he has been a far more positive infleunce at the club than say Marek. Marek rarely plays well and flatters to deceive whereas last season Cisse started 24 times in central midfield and was an integral part of the team that came 4th - we are now 21st...

Re: The centre back problem

The anti Pearce brigade on here are talking rubbish. He is potentially very good but obviously has a lot to learn. If we don't play him he will never get the experience and won't get better. CB's tend to mature late and by the time he is in his late 20's (injuries provided) he will probably be a PL ...

Stock is not playing because of injury and I belive operation so is unfit. At the moment under our strict new financial guidelines I doubt we would pay £1.75 let alone £1.75M.

LOL @ his interview on BBCRB - "BR keeps our feet firmly on the ground" - yes, because I'm sure the whole team think they're right old Billy Big Bollox's now they've won a game at home. I REALLY wish the manager and players wouldn't talk as if they're one point away from promotion or some...

paultheroyal Matejovsky = 22k a week.

HTH

This may be true but if we agreed to pay £22K per week for an unproven (admittedly international) second division Czech player we deserve to be in a lot of financial trouble and there is no way RFC could ever again claim to be a well run club.

Re: At least he's trying..

I wouldn't be suprised to see MArek leave in Jan. He's the highest earner now by some way. Apparently Mooney is on £12k a week... Charlton are covering £3k. If we are paying Mooney £12K a week then Sir John and NH should be dragged straight to the funny farm for testing. Bearing in mind he was cons...

Re: David Mooney

Neither Coppell or Rodgers have rated him in any way what so ever. Flop. But the point is the guy keeps scoring goals whenever he gets the chance. He scored in Ireland - on loan at Norwich last season - he scored for us when given a chance in the cup and he is now scoring for Charlton. I always tho...
