Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Earnshaw tweeting that there are no meetings today, understands the offers are just with Dai and his people to make a decision.

So don't hold your breath.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Dull point but slightly related to that NFL people alleged bid Haven’t we let international teams (ie NZ) train there previously. Have we broken planning laws by doing that? Would the council or whoever be harder on us doing it again potentially closing off a useful income stream? I wouldn't think ...

windermereROYAL People were all over this on twatter yesterday, strangely quiet today.

Think Earnshaw tweeted last night there was hope for a positive outcome in 24 to 48 hours. We aren't even at 24 yet.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Latest rumour of that there twitter is that Zygi and Mark Wilf - owners of the Minnesota Vikings were one of the 3 bidders. They want to follow the 49ers into owning an English Club (Niners own, or have large stake in Leeds) but also wanted to convert part of Bearwood into a facility for NFL teams t...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

First thing you do is ban owners being able to loan money to the club - they can only gift it, buy shares etc but as soon as owner puts the money in the club it is gone unless the club turns a profit. Then the owner can recoup a % in dividend, say 20% of any profit can be returned to the owner in an...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

On the training ground point, didn't Wycombe initially express an interest around November? Which is about the same time Dai moved the goalposts on Genevra. Contrary to trying to save us, is it their owner's fault that this ordeal isn't all over already? We could have Abbey tied down for a 3 year c...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Seen a lot of people complaining it is unfair that Forest got done because they held on until the last minute to get maximum value for Johnson whilst knowing they were likely to breach if they didn't bring in funds before the end of June. This is being used as a "how is it fair that a team has ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

What’s going on? Mate just said SJM has been on Sky saying we’re about to go under and STAR have just sent an email about the March funding shortfall. Have talks fallen through? Tweet not email. I would imagine he's yanking your chain a bit on the first one. Having seen the STAR tweet it is just an...

Probably why he can afford 28m for our bin fire.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

In the latest edition of penalties being made up as they go along, Forest have been given a 4 point penalty for breaching FFP rules. They drop into the bottom 3.

Can only assume Everton will get similar.

Love him or hate him, trust him or not but Huang Kad has just posted a picture of a corner flag.

One of those situations where you don't trust the account but know it has been right on more than one occasion (wrong on others) and hope this is one more occasion where it is right.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

my concern would be that these rumoured prospective buyers only want the club at the lower price without the training ground, and the trainig ground being back in the total deal means they are no longer interested and we are back where we were, with no one looking to buy as as Dai values it all too...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

It shouldn't block any sale of the club/stadium to any potential owner as the club don't own the training ground any more due to Dai's shiftiness, so club is just a name. Now Dai could try and throw that in and muck things up with the alleged deal but if this is all as people expect, Dai has a very ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Why are people so fixated on the distance between the Wycombe ground and Bearwood? Football players do not live at the stadium. For a number of them, it may be an easier commute to get to Bearwood than their current training ground and on matchdays players tend to make their own way to the stadium f...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

SJM says the sale is very close and buyers with deep pockets. He didn`t say that, at one point he said to dim that he knew about has much as him. He said he was aware of 3 possible interested party`s and hoped a deal could be completed soon. Besides, our current owner had very deep pockets. But shr...
