Oof, Motherwell beaten 7-2 by Aberdeen tonight.

Thankfully, Jules wasn't playing.

Stam wants to get Dickie involved in the first team squad.

Why'd you sign Reece Oxford then?

Because he wants to get Dickie involved in the squad, training with the first team, learning alongside Moore et al. Stam's comments don't suggest Dickie is going to be playing just yet. Oxford could play on Tuesday, Dickie won't.

But I do agree that it seems a little odd to have signed Oxford and not as yet given him any game time.

Perhaps he was expecting to use him as a sub in the last few games but circumstance has not allowed it?

It isn't especially. United are now only one point above the relegation zone + Spurs and Leicester both have games in hand. They don't have a very good squad (although we're only a point above them too!).

Weird season for us, we've beaten Chelsea and Man City but lost to Leicester, Derby and Spurs. This is the first time we've beaten a relegation candidate!

Incidentally, goals from Sam Smith and Gabriel Osho.

Late posting this but saw half the game against Man Utd. Once we got the 2nd goal I was confident we'd win, a rare clean sheet too. Interesting that it seemed like we played 3 at the back. Are Hyam and Dickie fit? Surprising that neither played when they're not involved in the first team match day squads.

U11s were runners up in the 'National Futsal Finals'

Regional qualifying groups were followed by a final league tournament in Birmingham.

Final stage included the following teams:
Chelsea, Swansea, Manchester City, Tottenham, Middlesbrough, Watford, West Ham, Reading

If West Ham topped the group and played Chelsea, then presumably we finished 2nd or 3rd.
Most likely beat Man City in the semis out of that lot, I would suspect.

Not bad.

I wonder if Barrett is still thought of highly at the club, he has sort of drifted into the background since McDermott left, also Novakovich seems to have an eye for goal, I wonder if he'll be given an opportunity at some point.

Barrett is still pretty young - I think his time may yet come. Novakovich does seem to be scoring a few - not sure there is place in the squad for him at the moment - prob needs a proper loan spell to have any chance of making it at Reading

Novakovich has been shunted around a bit, he had a spell on the left wing which didn't suit him. Take out those games and his scoring record is pretty good. Hard to see why you'd play him ahead of Kermorgant though.

Barrett's our main creator (particularly without Kelly around) but there's so much competition for first team spots. Stam doesn't really use his position so he'd either have to play on the wing or in midfield, where we have lots of natural options. Maybe if he has a good pre-season and we make the squad smaller.

Wrote a little brief overview of what's actually happened this season and what's still to come for the Academy sides this season for TTE

They split it into two parts so there's a bit about certain individual players like Novakovich still to come (I know very exciting)

So click here and give them their ad revenue, then shower me with praise for working out what's going on

Not seen it covered, but Jules scored the winner at the weekend (also his first professional goal)
