maffff Interesting SCIAG you mention Hyam - the weirdest loan with Pompey and couldn't get anywhere near their team.

Dickie, however, has had a fair amount of experience with Cheltenham and shown he's got quite a lot of potential to him.

The two of them seemed to forge a good partnership in the youth team, but right now they'd be competing against each other for one reserve spot and you'd have to think Dickie is ahead of Hyam....?

I seem to recall Hyam being praised by their manager for attitude. Went in on loan just as they started winning games. Manager didn't want to disrupt winning side.

Sutekh Joey is expcted to be back running next week but will still be unavailable to play for probably the rest of this month

Callum has a more serious hamstring problem than Joey and is likely to be out until the end of March at the earliest

Deniss is back in training now but will require a few more sessions and u21/friendly games to get somewhere near full mtach fitness after 6 months or so out. Bench towards the end of this month?

Tiago still has his knee in a brace and is a fair way from returning to training

Stephen Quinn has also rejoined training but is a little way from match fitness plus the physio team are still working and monitoring how his knee reacts to all sessions. If all goes well then perhaps he could be considered for the bench towards the end of this month or early March

How do you know all this? Are you ITK?

I think most of Berkshire knows this given that it is on GetReading.

Ilori

Liverpool fans were saying he's made of glass. Injured long term already.

Looks like Jaap has spent a lot of money on a dud.

Jordon Mutch - very slight groin problem suffered at Ipswich and missed training most of last week. May well be back in the squad on Tuesday.

Listening to Radio Berks for a few minutes yesterday beforethe game I am quite surprised that they seem to know f*** all about what goes on at the club.
In most towns the radio and local press have a close ear on what is going on, including the position on injuries, but the guys on Radio Berks sound just like fans, guessing what is going on.

Press conference today revealed both McShane and Berg are close to fitness

getReading again using poor grammar as apparently John Swift has "fractured his toe" - or perhaps I'm jumping to the wrong conclusion and John actually only has one toe

Either way the club say he will be available for selection on Tuesday

be interesting to see who makes the lineup for the next game. Very big squad to choose from and some very decent players are going to find themselves out of the squad altogether

Why is "fractured his toe" bad grammar? To me that means he has fractured one of his 10 toes.

If the thought was that "fractured a toe" is more correct, I'd disagree as it could be anyone's toe.

I will reserve judgment until I hear Ian's opinion having seen 2 mins of YouTube highlights.

Latest update.

Deniss Rakels, Stephen Quinn are not fit enough yet to be considered for selection despite having recovered from their injuries.

Reece Oxford has a hamstring problem and is likely to be out until the Preston game

Tiago Ilori, Callum Harriott and Sandro Wieser are still out. Callum probably the nearest to returning but Tiago is quite probably going to be missing until the last 2/3 games of the season.

Danzell Gravenberch has picked up an ankle injury.

Liam Moore has a hamstring problem. Might make Saturday but equally could be out for a few weeks. Hopefully things will become clearer when the local media get to the press conference for Saturday's game.

GetReading article today implies Liam Kelly may have got a knock and was substituted at half time because of that rather than just being a little off his game. Guess we may know more on that at the press conference if the media are on the ball.

No point risking Moore if not fully fit. Blackett has done well as CB, and McShane excellent in last 2 games

Not sure whether to be amazed, bemused or amused that both Wieser and Gravenberch have got themselves injured.
Some sort of shopping incident ?
A tussle over the Xbox controller ?
