BR2
Hendo Would be very happy with this.

Likewise but as Kes says Bristol City have loads-a-money after selling their good striker to the Villa so this could fall into the (Lescott,Cahill, Taylor, O'Neill)category where we tried very hard to get players but didn't succeed.
Would be ideal if the idea is to have a fast-moving flexible striker (a better Rekels) rather than a target man only in say Lambert (a better version of Kermorgant).

Having advocated this move under a number of other topics as well as this one I would be delighted to see this happen-it is a natural fit.
Would love to claim that I bumped into him in the street and suggested that he should make it clear that he would like a move to Reading......or did I just do that ?
If this happens IMHO it shows intent from the club and I might just start going to away games again for the run-in.

Remember a Kermorgant-Grabban partnership tearing us a new anus?

Confrimed amongst the largest pile of Carabao to date.

Impressed by this. Reading really going for it this year!

I'm now getting nervous/excited... real intent shown on the back of a bloody great season so far.

We could creep into 2nd place here :o

Some great additions

The only way this season can end in disappointment now is if we don't make the play-offs at the very least and that's only because we've managed to get ourselves in this position unexpectedly. Very few people would have expected play-offs but imagine sneaking into the autos? I wonder if the Brighton fans would keep posting that pitch invasion video if we nicked their spot.

Same people getting excited as last season when all the loans came in. Tuened out well.

Way to destroy the obviously great team spirit.

I think most of those were season long loans used to build up the bulk of the team.

To me these are to provide cover and supplement the squad in a promotion push. Very different.

Hound Yes please with this one

Outstanding window if we get him

Surprised we haven't let a few go - surely the likes of Mendes' days are numbered. May as well loan him out

Someone would have to want him.

Also, this is a pretty good signing. That's filled a lot of the weaknesses in our squad, as best as we realistically can.

A good signing this one, delighted with it.

Fair play to the club, Brian T etc. Picked up some excellent signings on the basis of what we have achieved so far this year, and these players sound like they genuinely want to play for the club and Stam.

The tongue in cheek Carabou stuff along with that Bushwatch clown also brought a bit of a smile, so well done for that.

1. An 18 year old highly rated defender/defensive midfielder is not going to rock the boat surrounded by older more experienced professionals esp. when no doubt part of the reason he chose Reading was the chance to learn from Jaap Stam
2. Understand that the Jordon Mutch deal is with a view to a permanent move and having had naff all game time at Palace he'd be a prize pillock to do put off the management from that move happening, let alone endangering the shop window opportunities he'll get if the deal does fail in the summer
3. Grabban is another looking for a chance to relight his career after not cutting it during his second Bournemouth sojourn and the part failure at Norwich. He'll probably be looking forward to playing and linking up with Yann again - so long as Stam gives them game time together.
