Tiago Ilori

by Cookie » 09 Jan 2017 15:01

Empire of the Kop fanzine aren't very impressed with our new Portugal defender. :)
"Tiago Ilori has just completed a move to Reading for £3.75m, with a 35% sell-on clause, which actually represents a profit for Liverpool (via Echo). This is despite the fact the Portuguese never featured once in the Premier League for us since his transfer from Sporting Lisbon – where his ‘£7m fee’ was made up of added clauses the centre-back’s obviously failed to trigger.

The Portuguese defender has been an enormous failure in England, but a Championship side has still paid more for him than we spent."

because they didn't pay him any wages or signing on fee during his time there of course.

And as we now know the fee is closer to 2mill, so bad luck scousers

This isn't right at all. This can't be posted in this forum until it's been officially confimred (or at least confrimed) by the club. I'm going to have to have a long sit down to recover now. Hope you're happy.

Ian Royal We could have most of a very young and very exciting team soon...

........................ GK
........... Moore Ilori Blackett
Watson............................ Obita
.................Kelly Evans
......................Swift
............Samuel..... ST

And plenty of experience in it.

So that leaves out our three top scorers and our top assist provider. Genius :|

Yep that was the point of that team - realistically currently McCleary is the first name on the team sheet - plus don't think Yann, Gunter, McShane and arguably Williams are ready to move on quite yet

Ok- given that most of the football press are stating this is a done deal. Any idea if it actually is and if so why the delay in official announcement?

AU: We hope to get Ilori deal done today or tomorrow, as quickly as possible so he can join the group #Readingfc

AU: We didn't expect to be 3rd in table at this moment. When Tiago Ilori became available we knew he'd suit our style #Readingfc

It says the following on one of their websites but i cant be bothered to translate it. Enjoy.

La foudre est un meunier complet et nous espérons qu'il meurt de mauvais aids seul sans sa famille et son copain pisses sur sa tombe. Ilori est un bon défenseur
