windermereROYAL Difficult to see any decent strikers would come here if we are in the bottom 6. on loan maybe, but no long term deal.

Any decent striker will come here if we offer them good increased money, talk up ambition to go up and show them last year's league table.

Players and managers frequently take sideways or seemingly backward steps to play for richer and perceived bigger clubs.

The stark reality is if we fail to get any points in the next 2 fixtures, the boos will ring out - if this happens I think Stam will walk / be pushed out.

We're going to be replaced in the Championship by Shrewsbury Town at this rate.

Who apparently play exciting attacking football.
As for snowball and the like who seem to think we have a strong squad of players, who are they?
I give you Moore, Barrow and a fully fit and firing Swift and possibly Kelly but who else?

Strap has been going on for ages about the intransigent Stam-my view is that his favourites, Gunter and Joey are a big part of what is wrong.
If he could see beyond them we might well survive.

Based on results so far this season, we could easily get relegated.

I don't think we will and I hope that Stam can turn this mess around.

My worry is that we have such a strong Dutch influence at this club now that if Stam were to be sacked, I could see problems on the horizon for a new manager unless he was also Dutch.

I am not great with tatics but with the pace we have in this squad with Barrow, Aluko and others, I think that we might be better suited to playing 4-4-2.

I wish he had given Smith a chance yesterday. I know he's only young but surely when you're 2-0 down with nothing to lose it's worth a punt.

Nobody is too good to go down in this league. Greater teams than us have gone down in the past decade or so.

Stam should be given more time to turn it around but I'm sure our idiotic, impatient fans will force him out...

What promising signs do you see that indicate he will get it right?

We played very well last week. almost like promotion contenders, the signs were seriously there , very promising, one bloody injury to a key player and he abandons what we did so well just 7 days before.

Plus changes the back four! Why as Bacuna was brilliant at right back but anonymous yesterday. Blackett??? Used to think he was class but his concentration is dreadful

Unless things improve entertainment wise I'm not going to renew my season ticket regardless of whether we get relegated or not. When I factor in the bus journey to the ground, the hour waiting about for the match and the bus journey home that's around 5 hours of boredom that I'm paying money for.

Try 9 hours and significantly higher travel costs.

I think I've seen us win about 18 out of about the last 97 league home games. And I've been to at least 50 of those, more like 55-60

Liam Moore? I see your point though. Unless things pick up in the next month or so, we could be in real danger.

I really don't see us being even CLOSE to relegation.

We have got a fair few of the bottom sides to play in November-December-January

Bolton, Barnsley twice, Sunderland, Birmingham and Burton
with Burton again at the end of January

That is seven winnable games, plus a fair few mid-table opponents
like Ipswich, Brentford

This is the opposition (current position) from now to the end of January with the sequence below it

24th 23rd 22nd 22nd 21st
19th 19th 18th 16th 14th 13th 12th, 11th 9th

That is TWELVE/FOURTEEN eminently winnable games

with only three REALLY tough matches TOP 2nd 7th (Wolves, Cardiff, Derby)

I would expect Stam to be sacked if we lost the next two and I'd be disappointed
if we only got two draws, especially as we then have Derby and Wolves.

But if we can WD or DW our next two, after Derby-Wolves (LL?) we have

24th-16th-19th-23rd, a great chance of twelve points

and let's not forget we have a game in hand

13th
12th
9th
TOP
24th
16th
19th
23rd
2nd
11th
22nd
7th
19th
21st
14th
18th
22nd

yeah, we definitely have a winnable set of games coming up. 4 home games + Bolton and Derby away I think in our next 6

Agree, if we don't win at least 3 of those, Jaap will probably be invited to leave

FWIW, think Burton, Bolton and possibly Barnsley will go this year

either that or we're going to kick start a few teams seasons in true Reading style.

Crystal Palace are so bad this season they'll probably end up getting relegated from this league as well
