Neil Harris on Millwall's ‘dominant’ win at Reading

Harris said: “I thought it was a very dominant display, without the ball we were very impressive, very disciplined and organised. On the ball we made really good decisions".

Enough said fold the club

genome Barrow is the only player who can hold his head up after that.

Everyone else can fuck off, including the fans who booed Blackett. Not really sure what else to say.

Tired of opposition fans coming here and having a great time

I think you have to add Bacuna and Gunter who both had good games. The rest were slightly embarrassing.

You cant say that on here, people wont like that sort of talk!

Because it's patently bollocks. Did you see the celebration after our 2nd goal on Tuesday?

Post disclaimer: Please do not get overly sensitive over my reply. It's okay to have your opinion challenged. It doesn't mean I'm out to get you. Thanks, Genome.

Stam, unfortunately, is now an empty vessel. He no longer makes any sense with his interviews and probably to the players. No-one seemed to know what they were supposed to do

Although I agree and have done so all season. oxf*rd rigfht they're not playing for him!

Yeah, that's why Gunter ran half the length of the pitch to celebrate with him in literally the last game.

I recall Gunter hugging Stam after his goal on Tuesday.
Certainly you couldn't claim Gunter has downed tools.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if others are not particularly fond of Stam. He's not shy of criticising individual players/the team in interviews and has chopped and changed the team so often that certain players must be aware he doesn't particularly rate them.

I also seem to remember Keith Jones getting some dogs abuse too.
But not from me.

Gav
P!ssed Off Clear difference, jeering/cheering Leigertwood's substitution off was a reaction aimed at McDermott for playing him every game when he was so clearly out of his depth. Nothing personal, manager's fault for not recognising his limitations.

Blackett was booed in possession of the ball, a reaction aimed soley at the player, not the manager.

I can agree with that to an extent, but whether it was aimed at Legs personally or not is a bit irrelevant imho. He was getting abused from the stands and we’ll never know how he interpreted it (nor can either of us qualify the sentiment of every person who booed/jeered/cheered). The initial comment was whether we’ve booed our own player before, and according to my memory... we have.

Well the substitution of Liam Kelly for Tiago Illori was booed earlier this season. So you could try and interpret that as Illori being booed if you wanted to, or Kelly being booed.

Reacting to a substitution is far more ambiguous than reacting to a player in possession.

Ok, we’ll go with that. We’ve already taken this chat way off piste. That’s close enough.

Back home. The way this side are playing / have played this season, they would struggle to stay up in the Scottish Championship.

That is all.

1 player shows his appreciation while the other 10 don't know or can't be bothered to play....What's your point?....Its glaringly obvious... No creativity, no shots, shite defence and the funny thing is they are all good players....What's the issue then....ERM??

What were the Millwall fans chanting at Bacuna?

"He's got a ___ on his head"

Couldn't quite make it out. Thought they were excellent today tbf.

Just watched highlights on Sky ... omg how we were not losing first half - our defence looked a mess. I think we should get a manager who knows how to defend ... oh ooops, we've got one of those supposedly.

People are upset that Blackett got booed?

If we were a team in South America there is a strong probability he'd have been killed after the game.

JAAP Stam said he was shocked to see Reading FC supporters boo defender Tyler Blackett off of the pitch following a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Millwall FC.

Former Manchester United man Blackett came on as an early sub before being withdrawn again following a sloppy performance.

And fans vented their fury at the 23-year-old, booing him as he trudged off of the field.

But boss Stam leapt to Blackett's defence.

"He did well when he was on the pitch," asserted Stam.

"We took him off for tactial reasons. We were playing with three at the back against two strikers.

"If the crowd reacts like that against a young team then it's not good for anyone's confidence or decision making.

You don’t think Stam’s being misleading in his interview, do you? Can you back that up? or is it your supernatural instinct coming into play ¾ the way through this season?

I'm afraid I have to disagree with Stam here.THREE times Blackett got caught in possession just fannying around. The third led to their second goal. A very poor half hour from TB.

Whole afternoon miserable. Even a fight on my bus back to the station.

That saying he played well is idiotic.
