Moore and Kelly this week's mysterious injuries then.

RFC Facebook has it as 4-4-2 but I bet it's 4-3-3 again with Loader and McCleary wide, and hopefully Swift poncing about in an advanced central role rather than doing fook all out wide.

'Greed. 4-4-2 would not play to our strengths.

Which are apparently exclusively attacking with through balls, despite our style being to play with width and in our own half. :|

I mean specifically our strengths with that line up. Not of the squad when all fit.

Soz,I was referencing the daft who scored strengths and styles preview I read earlier... where we have one strength but our style isn't really compatible.

Look forward to seeing Loader start in the flesh and more of Rino and McNulty... who could combine quite well with Swift in the middle between the lines.

Reckon there’s a sickness bug in the camp as so many are missing who would otherwise even be on the bench eg Walker, Aluko

And if that’s the case I wonder how many of those starting are actually 100%

So this game may well become the performance of the season to earn the points or become a turkey shoot for Stoke

Tom McIntyre is on the bench as only remaining defensive cover by the look of things

Wow, that Stoke lineup is one of the strongest lineups ever for a Championship game at the Mad stad.

Swift is putting in one of the most disgracefully inept and lazy performances I've ever seen. Useless.

You oxf*rd beauty Rino and McNulty.

Are you at the game or not? Why are you on your phone?

I thought Club1871 were meant to cheer and not be silent and boring. I am there today and it is diabolical.

Funny how the other day McNulty was a scapegoat.

Enjoyed that goal. Rinomhota using his pace to bully their LB.

Gooding is being insufferable on the commentary in regards to Bacuna. "He needs to keep it simple today" "when he was in and out of the team it was because of the chances he took with the ball" "why didn't he pass to McNulty who made a good run into the box". Make up your mind man. Do you want him to try Hollywood passes to McNulty or play it simple??

Also Coote has been pretty poor. Sorry OMA.

So HT. Good effort so far except Swift, who should be getting a Clement kicking and sent home. Dare I say it, even the dire Meyler would be better.

Gunter doing very well given the utter lack of help he's getting from the ex-Chelse ponce.

We need to look earlier at McNulty and Loader needs to buck up his confidence and play a bit braver, not really in the game. Rino once again excellent. McCleary a bit periferal. Bacu mostly good... Blackett doing fine at the back.

Dive from Yiadom that ended up with his back foot actually clipped. But he was going down long before that.

Ref has been almost as bad as Swift. Punishing us for nothing and letting Stoke play like thugs with impunity. We should have had at least half a dozen more fks.

Interesting that Swift is our highest rated mid at half time on whoscored. What a shit player.

Defence

Jaakkola has not done anything wrong, tidied up everything well

Gunter has done ok, some useful forward moves but been caught a couple of times defensively though has been left exposed on occasions

Yiadom has done well

Blackett has actually done really well so far

Ilori has been a bit 50-50 with some dodgy passes but generally good defensive work

Midfield

Swift was outstanding for the first 20 minutes but has struggled a little since.

Bacuna has struggled for form

Rinomhota has done well

Forwards

Loader has tried but has had little reward. Inexperience perhaps slowing him up rather than any lack of ability or effort

McNulty has done really well aside from the goal with some great movement. Trouble is others aren’t reading it quickly enough

McCleary has been too quiet for my liking, definitely could do more

Overall a good performance but Stoke look a good side and it’s possibly fortunate they haven’t found the final pass yet.

Lot of hard work left of course. Let’s hope they can at least match those levels in the second half and at least there’s Barrow, Meite and Baldock on the bench
