It isn't the end of the race though. They are due a win and we will oblige.

Just meant in regards to the "Are they a good team or not" debate. It doesn't matter. Derby can't get promoted and can't get relegated. They're stuck. It's like purgatory.

Watching us win 2-1 at the Baseball Ground in 1994 with our last fit 14 players (front two - Gilkes + Scotty Taylor, they both scored) remains one of my highlights as a loyal Royal.

Very nice of Bielsa to do a timely slideshow on how to beat DCFC as part of spy-g8.

I wonder if anyone at the club was watching... I hope they were.

It looks as though Derby are fielding their first eleven at Southampton tonight.
Let's hope for extra time, the odd sending-off and injury.

Extra time players dropping with cramp. A long trip back to Derby tonight just one day to prepare for us. Can only benefit us.

Ideal outcome in the cup match for us really. Hopefully we can then chasing the ball about early on Sat

I quite like the idea of playing against Richard Keogh with 120 minutes in his legs.

Depends who is playing up top against him. Bodvarsson doesn't have the mobility to run him ragged. Wouldn't mind Loader starting up top for this one just to wear the Derby CB's down a bit. Loader is nowhere near ready yet but he does have fitness and has decent movement.

I am thinking the other way round. Get our strongest team out on pitch and bring on fresh legs later in the game. Tired legs wont properly kick in till about 70 mins, then hit them with pace and bring on Loader. Having a target man in the middle and push on with full backs to occupy their back 4.
The damage will be runners from midfield tbh. A player like Swift could really benefit from having an extra half a yard and Rino with his willingness to run could cause them a lot of problems in the later stages of the match.

All this is on assumption that Keogh will start and Derby will suffer ias the game goes on though.
