I think I'm definitely going to do this as long as I can actually get to the stadium that early, I come from Fleet has anyone got experience of a journey to the madstad that early? Bear in mind I don't drive so would probably be public transport.

Think you're looking at a Greenwave bus from the station at 8:16 m8 - see here: http://www.reading-buses.co.uk/files/timetables/current/greenwave%20madejski%20p&r%20times.pdf

Where's everyone drinking for this? Being close to the centre there should be a few options.

Sweet, I managed to convince my Dad to go to this, I did not fancy getting up at 5:30am just to get to Reading via public transport!

Don't knock it. I assume you are going ? It'll be 1300+, away to a team hundreds of miles away that could go top with a win. And we are 20th. Decent support in my books. And yes...I am going !!!

Yep I will be there, as I am 95% of the other away games. Good effort by you. Decent support by our standards, yes. Decent support generally, I wouldn't say so!

For being 20th away to a Yorkshire club I think this is a decent following. We cant compare ourselves always to clubs like Leeds or Sheff Wednesday. How many will fulham, brentford, millwall, ipswich etc take there

Yeah, I mean at the end of the day we don't really have that kind of large scale 'die-hard' support that's willing to sacrifice other things in life to do away games. And we don't have enough fans scattered around the country (like Leeds) to attend local games. That's fair enough I say - I respect any father/mother that decides to take the kids to local park rather than put them in a car for 6 hours on a saturday.

Good stuff. Although, according to Chris @1871RFC1 on Twitter, only "real fans go by train"

Where did people go for a drink in the end? I didn't see many reading fans in the pubs I went to.

We arrived 45mins before kick off, I think a lot just went straight into the stadium.
