Why do you HAVE to buy a shirt? It's not a matter of life and death, is it?

Mrs BDC and Son of BDC went along to the Megastore to buy shirts for me and themselves. None in stock in the sizes we wanted (Fat Bastard, Slim Fit Bird and Teenage Lout sizes).

Thinking of getting a plaque fitted on the back of my seat saying "Stop oxf*rd ing kicking my seat oxf*rd wit".

Oh my God!!

I thought this whole plaque thing was a wind up which no one would fall for and I didn't post to say so in case I got a whoosh.

Our Reading FC letter and shirt vouchers arrived yesterday, one for me and one for Young Warfield Royal. I wasn't suspicious at the time but both envelopes had been opened and one of the family made some passing comment about this. I vaguely thought at the time that there was no plaque leaflet and assumed it must be a wind up.

Then I saw the scan from bb0118 and I began to get suspicious because it looked so good. I wandered downstairs and casually asked the family if there were any leaflets with the Reading FC stuff that came yesterday and they all started laughing....

Turns out they went to the Sales Centre today and they have purchased me a plaque for my birthday. I'm mortified but I can't say anything because I will upset my son who thinks he has come up with the best present ever.

I didn't think I wanted a plaque but I do now. Bless him. :P

I meant i would have to get the shirt tommorow as the voucher would run out, they've extended it now fortunately.

The 17 Bus Theatres have done for for some time, if folk want to pay thats up to them, I doubt the club will make much, assume they need bolting on, so fitting will cost, it will also leave holes in the back of the seat, on removal.

You don't really think it will be done that professionally do you?

My money's on a cheap stick on plastic effort.

Have any of these actually been installed yet? I've yet to see a single one.

There's one on the seat next to mine. I'm glad I didn't invest.

A smattering in Lower West. I didn't see any when I sat in East Stand Y24 for Darlington.

Apparently they can be kept by the owner at the end of the season but will they peel off without damaging and will any get peeled off by other ticket holders sitting in the seat before the end of the season?

Yep. Saw one on a seat in the row in front of mine on Tuesday. Looks like an enlarged version of a season-ticket, stuck on to the top of the seat (so I expect them to fall off in a few weeks' time).
