Winston Biscuit if your parents were born in a different country to you then you should have all countries you qualify for put on bits of paper and they have to pick one and that is that

'sorry Adnan, I know you qualify for Belgium but you are forever going to be playing for..........Albania!'

Ireland might have ended up with Kane or Rooney.. I'm with you.

Sutekh
Winston Biscuit Basque Country are playing against Venezuela this coming weekend

Love to see them play Catalunia in Bilbao or Barcelona . Perhaps they could also organise a tournament with Gilbraltar….

Gibraltar are now in FIFA/UEFA, so that's out.

If you are interested, then the Spanish regions tend to play at least one game a season, typically around Xmas. It used to be a tradition of sorts to play once just after Christmas (as in sb's stated 2014 and 2015 games) but they're not limited to that. As sb states, Euskadi are playing on Thursday or Friday this week.

Not sure why they don't formalise it a bit, as as far as I know, every spanish region has had a team at some point in history and most have had a team in the last ten years play at least a game of some sort.

However, they have all, so far, not agreed to join the independent football associations like CONIFA. This is, again as I understand it, because the bigger, more independent teams want to ape the UK/Faroe island model and join UEFA/FIFA at some point.

NewCorkSeth I'd love to see a full on Basque vs Catalonia football match.

They played each other in 2014 and 2015

I didn't see either.

Couldn't get the time off or something?
