Winston Biscuit Malaga are top of the Spanish 2nd division. Jack Harper, the Spanish born Scotland international is a regular for them.

Wondered where he was. He used to be "the next big thing" at Real Madrid.

I don't believe he was ever said to be the next big thing. Just got noticed by the British press as he is from a Scottish family

Boca Juniors Vs River Plate in the Copa Libertadores final (South American Champions League) for the very first time. 2 legged affair at both clubs stadiums, first leg next week.

They met in an earlier stage of the competition 3 years ago but the game was abandoned after a group of Boca fans waited until the players were walking down the tunnel at HT when they jumped down and attacked the River players and used pepper spray on them.

lovely stuff

The story and some of the photos of Ri"B"er Plate's sojourn to the Argentinian second tier is a good one.

They went down. It all kicked off.

So they spent a season, playing in stadiums without ends ...

... without stands along the side ...

... with some interesting backdrops ...

... and with some interesting stadium designs ...

I remember posting on here last one night about how River might get relegated that evening after reading it could get 'tasty' then the next morning posting some cracking images of the police dealing with fighting going on in various areas of Buenos Aires (RIP the previous european football thread)

I imagine there'll be similar scenes on Saturday when Club1871 finally snap.

Might get interesting

http://www.spiegel.de/international/football-leaks-manchester-city-paris-saint-germain-gianni-infantino-a-1236277-amp.html?__twitter_impression=true

Claims of underhand shenanigans by some of Europe's biggest clubs. Also a claim of a multiple champions league winner caught doping

@eifsoccer may be interesting to follow for some of this

PSG have now won their first 12 league games, which is a European top-flight record, beating Spurs' 11 wins from 1960/61.

Can't find what the European record for all divisions might be - of course it is Reading's 13 for the English leagues. That ridiculous Steuea Bucharest side of the 80s never won more than 17 in a row, but I don't think any were from the start of the season. Celtic won 26 of their first 27 games in 2016-17, but drew the 5th.

Ordinarily you'd say that PSG's trip to Monaco next Sunday would at least make them work for 13 in a row, but their hosts have had an awful start to the season and are 19th.

Not Europe, but we don't have a world leagues thread. In Paraguay, Fernando Ovelar has equalled Freddy Adu's record as the youngest scorer in a professional league, aged 14 years and 9 months. Quality finish too.

Great game. Definitely a foul in the build up to the winner though but it won me a few quid so I was rather delighted

Great passage of play in the 1st half. Boca score on 33 minutes and River equalise directly from the subsequent kick off. Crowd are mad! Would love to watch this fixture in the flesh.

Winston Biscuit Every bit of 1st half play that Frenkie De Jong was involved in for Ajax last night against Benfica. 21 year old midfielder who has been talked up a lot recently. it's only a short video, and only the 1st half, but he looks very good on there

He will be at man united next year for jose Mourinho to ruin him.

didn't take long. Dutch media say Real Madrid are in touch and Ajax are demanding €80M
