TheSpread Chelsea should get around £80m for Courtois.

Not with a year left on his contract they shouldn't

Yes, I took into consideration the contract remaining and Courtois being the better keeper.

We all are for a variety of reasons.

Silly as it sounds I am not a huge fan of Courtois. Think his distribution is iffy at best and he doesn't use his size well enough when it comes to dealing with crosses and corners. Decent keeper but not in the top bracket.

John Egan moves from Brentford to Shef Utd. I know someone who is close to Egan and has been chatting to me about this the last few days and knowing how into football I am has shown me whatzap messages from him confirming details.

He had expected to join Leeds this week but Shef Utd came in last minute and he opted for that instead. He joined for £4.1M. Egan himself got 10% of the transfer fee. He was on £15k a week at Brentford and he is now on £27k a week at SUFC

that is all

That seems grossly overpriced. Brentford got a good deal there.

I find it amazing that someone who was not even first choice at one 2nd tier club can move to another 2nd tier club and over the 4 year contract they have signed will earn more than £6 million

Brentford seem to be selling all their players again

Always seems to work out for them though. Their model of investing in lower league youth and selling on for massive profits has seen them be very comfortable in the Championship and probably helped fund their new stadium. Must be frustrating as a supporter to continually lose your best players season after season.

They have been doing it for a while to be self sustained and it seems to work well for them. Last 3 years plus this summer so far they have brought in around £55M

Egan - £4.1M
Kerschbaumer - £1M

Jota - £6M
Maxime Colin - £3M
Vibe - £2M
Dean - £2M

Hogan - £10M
Button - £2M
Bidwell - £1.5M

Gray - £11M
Odubajo - £4.5M
Tarkowski - £4M
Dallas - £2M
Grigg - £1.5M

Agreed, but Brentford always seem to be a couple of players away from being consistent enough to get in the playoffs and potentially go up. If they kept their squad together then they’d be much richer with a promotion

Superb deal for Roma. They will be able to sign an equally good if not better keeper than Alisson for half that money.

Roma confirm Alisson went for €62.5M basic (£56M) with a further possible €10M (£9M) in potential future add ons

a comment I made back in Feb about Alisson possibly being the best in Europe

Name a goalkeeper of the same ability available for £28 million.

I'll wait.

Can't say he has done a lot for me in the time I have seen him. If they wanted to spend that much then why not meet Jan Oblak's release fee who for me is a superior keeper?
