genome Newcastle agree a loan deal for Islam Slimani

Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol says "He's a player that needs game time ahead of the World Cup."

...Algeria didn't even qualify for the World Cup

gr8 Algeria trolling by Solhekol. I like to think he is French and as soon as the camera cut off he did a 'oh Sorry Algeria, forgot you didn't even make it!' under his breath.

Only 36?!

Jay Spearing's name came up the other day, he's still only 29.

Just read that a former team mate of his says that West is actually 12 (TWELVE) years older than he publicly says he is

That would have made him 43 when Plymouth signed him. TBF he hardly looked like a youngster

Apparently Karen Brady also cost West Ham a deal on Slimani - Leicester vetoed any moved to the London Stadium following her comments last year insulting the vulgar spending habits of Leicester's owners.

He's a good player - but he isn't worth anywhere near £95m. Leicester probably should've done right by the player IMO. Mahrez's unprofessional attitude isn't exactly going to endear him to City in the future though...

From memory he behaved impeccably the last time (perhaps couple of times?) they didn't allow him to move.

I wonder if there's a little more to this than immediately meets the eye.

Last week it was reported that Inter have offered €33M for young Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez who plays for Racing Club in Buenos Aries, this is the most money ever offered to an Argentine team for a player.

German press saying today that Dortmund have offered €40M

In June Hoop Blah I've just read this morning that Harry Maguire has gone to Leicester for £17m!! That's pretty mental even if it is £12m upfront with the rest in add-ons.

Looking back at that now, I'd have to say £17m is looking like a pretty good deal and I wouldn't be surprised if they make a a very healthy profit on him at some point.
