Sutekh For the record Moore joined Reading from Leicester in August 2016 for an undisclosed fee thought to be around £1.5m

The sticking point is the player coming to us, we want Hemed and have been offered Skalek

Definitely seems Brighton's next offer will be cash + Baldock

I would imagine, if it does happen, then the "cash" part would be undisclosed.

IF... the cash bit is any more than 3 million I would compete with Rangers for Goldson off them aswell.

3 million by the way is the asking price from Brighton to Rangers for him.

For me Goldson is almost as good as Moore and still only 25, could be a like for like replacement and in a couple of years could be even better than Moore.
If we got Baldock, Goldson and lets say 1 million on top I would say that is a good result. but Baldock, 4 Million and a massive void left by Moore is not quite as an attractive proposition. finding a replacement would not be easy.

Goldson almost as good as Moore is an outrageous claim.

Hasn’t he only played something like 20 games at Champ level or above?

In a promotion season, has played 10 in prem after coming back from serious health problems, still 25 and has gd experience, who do you think we could get better for the touted 3 million

If Moore left Leicester because he wasn't getting enough game time then surely he risks exactly the same scenario at Brighton as they have an established centre back pairing.

If I was him I'd stay with us and retain his dignity.

At Leicester it was clear he wasn’t in their plans (didn’t give him a locker and made him train with the reserves), it’s two years on, he’s two years better and yes he runs the risk of not being able to break the settled and effective partnership at Brighton all he needs is one chance and I’d fancy him to back himself.

I've no knowledge of his locker situation at Leicester, maybe they made him change in a toilet cubicle, but the point remains the same.

His career hasn't exactly gone forwards here. He'd have been aiming for PL football by the coming season, instead he's stuck with another season in the chump with no realistic hope of promotion.

That's two more seasons at tier two without moving. If Brighton are offering money they want to use him for at least the bench or cups. He'd be mental not to give it a go and back his ability IMO.
