So how do we go about getting the club fan owned and moving this ship back to Elm Park?

Bit tricky buying all the houses in elm Park, and knocking them down.

Is there room to fit a stadium where the Hexagon is now? That would be a great location.

 that would genuinely be incredible. Knock down the police station and there would be plenty. Have underground or multi story parking of some sort. Rest of the week it can be used for general town parking making the club millions.

Most people would probably get the 17 in anyway or walk.

I would have thought the Broad St mall would have to go as well- as we would need a 40,000 capacity stadium.

Na oxf*rd that. Make it a 10,000 seater so only the hardcore support can go.

Not that the broad street mall going is much of a loss. They're apparently building flats on top of the mall so maybe they could build a stadium instead.

That'd be ace. Clear the whole site comprising Broad Street Mall, Penta Hotel, Hexagon, council offices, TVP and a magistrates courts and build a multi-purpose 24 hour community centre with a 50,000 capacity roller roof stadium for when we're in the Champions League. Oh, and re-open Sweeney Todd's.

That'll breathe life into Cheapside and West Street and then link through to the Mad Man's Station Hill development ambitions.

And leave the Thais to resurrect their asset stripping plan at Royal Elm Park or whatever it's called.

This club needs a bit of vision.

It's early days but at least we're talking about it.

Am I the only one genuinely salivating at this idea?

Nope. It came to me like a vision, and I so want this to happen. Would be absolutely brilliant.

make it hexagonal

hexagonal pitch, 6 teams per game, 6 goals

6 games at a time, could get the season done in a month or two

1. Get some money together
2. Make the current owners an offer too good to turn down

That's the easy part, the more difficult part is actually running the club.

The fans would be better off starting their own club like AFC Wimbledon.

Well this stinks https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47789258

Just keep moving the stadium between club and a company and make money

We’ve done similar.....

Not as bad as Leicester who IIRC essentially got the Walkers Stadium for free by going into admin after it was built, leaving lots of people out of pocket including the builders then reforming with the stadium acquired from the bankrupt company for a pittance.

Out of interest when does the planning permission for REP expire?

It is usually either three or five years. However, if the applicant has started, for instance digging a hole or knocking down a wall, then it does not expire at all. The applicant can do the rest of the work whenever he decides to, even in ten, fifteen or more years. Has anything like that been done in the area?

Sounds like Derby owners are considering doing what our owners have by selling the stadium to themselves to beat FFP.
