Bring A Mate Day - Saturday 11th November 2000
Reading FC -v- Colchester United, Madejski Stadium

RFSC 'BRING A MATE' COMPETITION

1. The Prize

Two places as part of the RFSC Match Ball sponsorship team for the match v Cambridge on December 2nd. The Supporters' Club is sponsoring the match ball as part of its 70th birthday celebration. You get a tour of the stadium and a pre match meal as well as seats in the Upper West Stand and other stuff, altogether worth over £200. This is the only prize and the only game for which it can be taken.

2. The Competition

The competition is open to anyone who attends the match v Colchester on 11th November and brings someone or some many people who would not normally have come to the game, that is you've got in the spirit of Mates Day and brought a mate or more.

What we want to be hear is the full story of how you brought your mate(s) along to the game:

The prize will be awarded by the Supporters' Club chiefs on the basis of the best overall (true!) 'human interest' story. (There is a separate competition elsewhere for bringing the most mates). THIS competition allows you to win even if the only person you brought was the Queen Mum on a bus from Windsor or whatever!

3. Your Entry

Your entry should between 500 and 1000 words, ideally typewritten or at least clearly hand-written. Include where possible ticket stubs from the Colchester match. All entries will become the property of RFSC and we may seek your permission to use some excerpts from them at a later date.

The closing date is 20th November 2000. Entries should be submitted by post to RFSC Comp, 55 Omers Rise, Burghfield Common, Reading RG7 3HH or by email to rfsc@furtherthought.demon.co.uk. Please include YOUR name address and evening phone number and a contact number for the mate(s) brought. The judges' decision will be final. The winner will be notified by November 26th and their name will be published in the match day programme v Cambridge.
