Team news

Reading will be missing Jamie Cureton - suspended for picking up one too many yellow cards already this season. Expect Jimmy McIntyre to make another start up front. Reading may also have Smith, Murty and Robinson all available for first team selection. Wycombe will be missing both Baird and Devine - two usual starters for the side who are both injured.

Reading - from: Whitehead, Gurney, Viveash, Hunter, Williams, Newman, Parkinson, Caskey, Hodges, Butler, McIntyre, Jones, Murty, Smith, Howie, Mackie.

Wycombe - from: Taylor, Townsend, Vinnicombe, McCarthy, Bates, Brown, McSporran, Castledine, Simpson, Bulman, Cousins, Rammell, Senda, Lee, Brady.

Form Guide

With Reading fourth in the table and Wycombe third this is going to be some match. Although Wycombe have never been considered our Rivals despite being just minutes down the road this should be one of the more interesting ties of the season in front of a decent crowd. Wycombe may be one place above the Royals but it's Reading who'll be favourites for the win.
Reading fans won't need reminding that we are the most in-form team in the entire Division. Our last three home matches have been goal crazy wins - 4-0, 5-0, and 5-1. We'll almost be expecting at least four goals! Add to that an impressive draw at Wigan last week and an excellent 3-1 away win at Rotherham the week before that and it's easy to see the Royals are on fire.
Wycombe are in an impressive run of form themselves though. Last Saturday Wycombe scored three at home to beat Notts County 3-1, and before that they won 1-0 away at Port Vale. Reading's recent home games may have been high scoring but Wycombe have only conceeded two goals away from home all season in the league! Thankfully they've only scored three away from home in two wins, two draws and a defeat.
Wycombe probably have reason to expect they're capable of a draw, but Reading should be good for victory.
