Play Off Final Song - "Terraces"

Friend of mine and a well known face amongst RFC Fans and indeed around the town, Liam O'Bey done this song a while back. Seems only right that it get's the publicity it deserves now with Reading in the play off final. The Madejski and BBC Berkshire won't play it due to derogatory comments about Swi...

New song for Steve Clarke

Hi Guys,

Seeing as Mr Clarke is staying with the super Royals how about we all think of a new song to sing for him on Saturday!

Steve Clarkes barmy army is so dull lets think of something that really stands out and gives the Mad Stad that special feel on Saturday!

Any ideas?

URZ!!

Re: Chants about the fire?

To be honest this thread is complete proof of why Reading fans are viewed by a lot of others in the way they are. Family club of the year, bring a picnic, bang a drum, don't swear, don't stand, don't sing, don't launch fireworks etc.

Re: Chants about the fire?

Bit out of order to use that language, we are all entitled to what we want out of the match day experience

Re: Chants about the fire?

What an overreaction. All this chap did was chuck a flare. It's just abit of banter between home and away fans.

Yes it may injure one person but that's a risk worth taking if it improves the atmosphere at games

Andy Bernal

Was down the pub last night when a mate reminded me if the Andy Bernal Perving incident. As we'd all had a few beers I'm not sure how exaggerated the story was. Does anyone know the facts of what actually happened?

Re: BFTG -Crawley

I hope the families are scared off. They should stay in the west stand and not go away. Families shouldn't go to away games. Away games are designed for people that want to get drunk and shout around. If I was a father with my son at football I'd be encouraging him to get stuck in anyway. I'd rather...

Re: BFTG -Crawley

To show over the top most of you lot are. I didn't even go to the game yesterday. I made that Abu Hamza comment purely as someone earlier mentioned a Reading fan called him a terrorist so "went on the wind up". Somebody then backs up my "insult" and says they heard someone callin...

Re: BFTG -Crawley

Racist abuse is unnaceptable however the asian steward was a right idiot and did look like a replica of Abu Hamza so I can see why the idea of racial abuse came into some of the morons heads. He should think twice about stewarding a football match with that sort of facial hair as it gives the right ...

Re: Constant Away Supporters in the Home End

I appreciate this might not be the correct place for this thread but it needs to be in The Team to maximise the viewing. Every time we play a "bigger team" - Arsenal, Spurs, Everton etc there are a large number of away supporters in the home end. Firstly, why are the club standing by and ...

Re: PLEA TO Y25/Y26

Anyone who attempts to generate an atmosphere in the East Stand is an idiot. You are asking to be taken out for "a talking to" or worse removed and eventually banned for standing and singing. I really don't see why a blind eye can't be turned to the top of Y25 like it is as every other gro...

Re: Quality of Stewarding at The Madejski

The one I'm waiting for (and I believe is only a matter of time away from happening) is when we play a West Ham or Cardiff type with a large away following. If the situation is for whatever reason tense, I would not be suprised if there was a tannoy announcement to inform Reading Fans they would be ...

Quality of Stewarding at The Madejski

There were a few incidents yesterday afternoon in the corner of Y26 and obviously in the Millwall end. This was predominantly sparked by Millwall fans running onto the pitch but the situation also turned ugly between Reading supports and our own stewards. What the club really needs to achieve is our...
