Re: Injury watch 2021/22

I understand not going for a league Cup game knowing fit players are being rested but this is a league game with the best available XI, who have mostly been playing well.

Some who may have been reserves have played themselves into a position of not being.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Snowflake Royal Presumably be an argument that the rules should be suspended or changed because of Covid.

Well, if they get if halved then I assume we will get half the expected deduction too i.e. 3pts.

Don't blame them for trying but it is a clear rule. Admin = 12pts, not sure there are any exceptions.

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

Will be interesting to see. there must be other clubs who have also broken FFP and will do so over the next couple of years. Too late to 'set an example of us' I imagine, and more likely to be a fairly acceptable penalty which will set a standard precedent the feeling is 6 points - take that all da...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

Would it be in the EFLs interest to go easy on us? We are co-operating with them, looking to agree a punishment, I'm not saying skip the deduction entirely but this has to be much better for them than all the legal nonsense they've gone through with previous offenders. If they go easy on us, it enc...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Budesliga clubs can welcome back full stadiums next weekend for the first time. Varies from state to state but most will be allowed to have between 70 and 100% capacity. Only a small percentage of unvaccinated people will be allowed however and must show a valid test result to enter - otherwise only...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

sorry if i missed this being discussed but IF hypothetically we were promoted this year would that mean any pending FFP penalties would be effectively written off? Don’t think they would just be written off. They would be sat waiting there for when we returned to the Championship...... They would b...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

interesting stuff Do we know what the losses in 19/20 were? all merges into one. And is the Covid season just written off? 2019/20 was a 43.5 million loss 2018/19 was 40.7 million loss Just shocking figures. Eye watering. It should never have reached this level of loss. 2020/21 figures are not to b...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

Yes sort of agree but the potential points deduction next season too is a big blow. I read it that we would comply for 21/22 therefore no points deduction next year but it will be difficult for us to comply for 22/23 - if so, then points could be lopped off in 23/24 but could be wrong on that. Woul...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Having seen Obita's recovery up close and personal I can say his lengthy comeback was purely down to how horrendous the injury was, it wasn't the clubs fault. He is very lucky to be playing tbh, was very much touch and go for a couple of months. Agree on the rest though, I think there is something ...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Absolutely. Its also not just the injuries. Its the poor recoveries too. Where is Araruna? Obita broke down regularly on recovery. Meite did his ACL in pre-season ffs. Moore's shoulder pops out if you look at it... surgery was delayed several times. Rino has been a game away for about 4 games and t...

Re: Rival Watch

Revealed today that Derby owe £15M to a US Investment fund called MSD Holdings; the fund have announced that they hold collateral worth more than the principle and interest. In other words, they have a call on the only tangible asset Derby have - Pride Park. Any new owners will have to pay that deb...

Re: Rival Watch

So did Madejski, which pushed the price up. So as I said, the price becomes a negotiation point between the buyer and seller as there is apparanently little to no outside debt. So a very different situation to Derby. My only real concern at the moment is the fact that the club don't own the stadium...

Re: Rival Watch

Of course it would. They'd want it back. It either hykes the price or becomes debt to an outside creditor. Even SJM tried to recover some of the money he'd pumped in on selling. Haven't the owners turned a lot of the debt into shares? In which case it becomes a straight negotiation between buyer an...

Re: Rival Watch

Except to the owners... and it's larger. It’s any irrelevancy. Debt to HMRC, to your players, to other football clubs kills you. Owing money to yourself is extremely unlikely to close you down. If the owners decided to cut ties the amount of money they owed themselves woukdn’t really matter. Of cou...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Reported that Derby owe the HMRC 28m quid. This is the first administration whereby they have crown preference, since 2002, and are due all the debt in the same way as a football creditor would be. It may well be that the future of Derby as a club rests with them, if they refuse any deal that doesn...

I want Pauno to have more faith in Puscas. He needs a goal. There have been a number of times this season when Puscas was in a great position but the ball wasn’t played into him, Being dropped, subbed early etc is not going to do him a lot of good. It's not but, and I say this as someone who thinks...
