Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Conference League 23/24

Having watched Man City repeatedly lose to inferior opposition in the Champs League in person in several of the past years CL campaigns, i see plenty of risk posed by Bayern Munich. I still think Pep is not that good at big games. Gets beaten more than he should. Bayern will go out tonight. Their s...

I think we all can agree that we wish him well in his quest to win the World Cup at Rotherham.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

There’s something I really dislike about Burton. Not really justified as they are a solid enough club. Think it goes back to Stam 1-2 game in front of a full house, just brings back awful memories Probably the funniest goal we've ever conceded btw Off the top of my head, Mannone booting a clearance...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Bit of a twat move to bugger off whilst Stevenage still have, an albeit very long shot at the play-offs - Especially 2 days before they play Oxford, who are the club they need to catch.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

You just can't make these things up when it comes to what these clubs will do to get more money. Yet another club that might go the same way as Man City but won't. What year did they reckon the charges might actually get to be heard? If the charges are PSR related then it will be heard relatively q...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

If the team are not on the beach this should be a comfortable 2-0 win. We will score, so just need to defend well and we should win - if we get ahead early and news filters through of Cheltenham winning, they will panic and we should be able to pick them off. Watched Burton v Cheltenham last night ...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

If anyone is interested then its well worth listening back to the podcast from yesterday called Outspoken With White & Jordan which is just a kind of highlights thing of their daily talksport show. They had an FFP specialist on talking about Chelsea. He explained this whole thing around them se...

Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

Are teams getting more points these days? I am not just talking about the Championship. I am sure 90 points used to feel like a pretty special achievement 20-30 years back, but seems to almost happen as standard nowadays (I may also just be misremembering, which I do a lot of) League 1 this year co...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

A disaster for any match going fans who face the inconvenience of early kick-off times in order to accommodate live TV and also for the club who will be worse off. I've heard RoyalsTV is a nice revenue generator for them, particularly on a midweek when a number of STH's won't attend home matches bu...

Championship promotion race really hotting up Soton beat PNE 3-0 last night and now sit just 5 points behind Ipswich with a game in hand. That game in hand - Leicester (a) next Tuesday. Soton also finish the season at Leeds. Seems guaranteed that the top 4 sides will all finish with over 90 points, ...

Mansfield confirm their place in L1 and will play in the 3rd tier for the first time since 2002/03.

At the other end, Forest Green suffer back to back relegations and drop out of the EFL after 7 seasons.

Colchester's home win over Grimsby all but condemns Dean Bouzanis' Sutton to relegation too.

Re: The Magic Number Thread

After tonight's results, I think it's 0 (1) now. If we want to keep it going in case of the extra 2 points then the deduction total is 2. We would be on 48 - Burton can get to 49 - so any result there on Saturday removes any modicum of concern that that deduction could impact us. Only thing t...
