Re: Pre season tour

Obita was doing some warm up drills before the start of the game, not far away I reckon. Blackett did his hamstring and pulled up pretty quickly.

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

Looks Like Bolton are in serious trouble now, their proposed takeover is in the can and they have a high court hearing tomorrow. They may be disolved or at best given 12 point deduction. Not sure where that would leave the rest of us in the relegation battle.

Re: CONFIMRED - New Keeper Emiliano Martinez

Walker - not good enough yet.. He's 27 years old. How much better is he going to get? i would argue that Walker hasn't been given enough game time to for any of us to form an opinion, he what played 2 fairly decent games and a couple of stinkers, didn't he? and we haven't seen him since. However i ...

Re: Starting XI ?

So how are we going to line up in our next few games ? Assuming the loanees are here to play Remembering we have 6 loanees and can only use 5 Assuming everyone is fit ! Avoiding playing players out of position just to get them on the pitch.... One of the 6 being Eza, any news on him? Its getting to...

Jaakkola (last opportunity he'll likely get to play against a massive club) Youth team RB - Balogan? Burley? Howe? Richards Osho Moore Rinomhota Kelly McCleary Harriott (deserves a 'reward' after scoring on his first game back after virtually two years) Loader Bodvarsson Walker, Yiadom, Ilori, East...

Re: BFTG- Millwall (a)

Everyone keeps saying McCleary is past his best, which he probably is, but from what I've seen of him this season and considering he's just come back from a lengthy injury, I think he still looks classy and certainly useful at this level. Definitely think he's still our best winger. Considering Bar...

Re: Solutions to problems (instead of moaning)

instead of moaning that we gave Meite a 4 year contract , get the coaches to work with him on ball retention and trapping the ball a bit better. In fact this should be basic stuff with all the players. If someones weakness is taking a corner, get them to take 20 a training session, work on the shape...

Re: Clement

For me it is not the squad, on paper they would look pretty good for most Championship teams. I actually think the system needs tweaking a little and the work rate raised, i will rip my hair out if i see another identical goal given away, players stand off.. free shot for opposition , GOAL, every fl...

Re: How many players will we bring in?

i reckon we will bring in 2 players. a DM and possibly Defensive cover if Moore goes if Moore goes fair enough, so long as we get a good fee for him. If he stays then as i would expect him to play at his highest level and give us a good few months before someone takes him in January, if he plays wel...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

Yes, of course I’m looking forward to it. It’s football. It’s my team playing football. At the Madejski. See old friends, have a pint, have a laugh, hope to see the ’Ding put a few goals past the Rams. Enjoy winning. Enjoy moaning if we don’t perform. Play Devil’s advocate and try to find something...

Re: The Positive Thread - Only Positivity Allowed

Ignorant American post. Here is why I think our season will be a push for the playoffs and not a relegation battle: 1. We have been after quality strikers for quite a while now. We signed two of them. 2. Paul Clement seems to know what he wants and is building a team to fit his scheme. 3. Some youn...

Re: Smallest Attack in Champ

Would still like to see another target man come in regardless but that won't happen now, think Meite should be put on the wing and Bodvarsson therefore would be our only target man striker (I think?) with Kermorgant terminating his contract, could do with another one especially if we are playing on...

Re: The Positive Thread - Only Positivity Allowed

I'll give it some positivity. I've booked my tickets for Forest away. It'll be my first trip to the City Ground since Scott Murray drilled in the winner quite a few years ago. I'm going all in all positive this year. I'm going to be supporting the Royals on the road more than ever this year even th...

Re: RUMOUR - Sam Walker

This potential signing is farcical even if Jaakkola goes, what sort of message does this send out to Legg, Ward, Southwood etc, instead of trying regain our identity of bringing through academy products, we just sign random players like this. It just does not make sense, and I'm not one to moan abo...

Re: CONFIMRED - Adrian Popa

He did look massively unfit on one of the pre-season games, saying that it was Eastleigh game i think and all the players had done double sessions before that game and they all looked pretty haggard. Its a shame he had an injury as i think going away over pre-season might have been a chance for him...
