Re: BFTG - Brum

He has let in 8 in 5, was at fault for their goal with yet another flap, he can’t kick it out for Oxf**rd and was lucky that he didn’t cost us two points! He made some really decent saves but the other areas of his game will cost us points before the end of the season. If Southwood or Rafael let th...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a)

We put huge pressure on Bristol City for the last 20 minutes - it reminded me very much of the 3-2 win there under Stam - except for us being unable to find the goals to make the comeback. Played some excellent football in good areas and they couldn't get out of their own half. BUT. Is there anythin...

Re: BFTG - Huddersfield

What the f*ck are you on about? A committed player and last seasons Laurent would have made more of an effort to stop that shot, sliding in - but it’s almost like he baulked the challenge https://twitter.com/skybetchamp/status/1485203436987633668?s=21 Glad you posted that. Forget Laurent. That goal...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Have to agree on the Ejaria criticism. It is too often painful to watch. The skill he has with the ball at his feet is superb, but it's no good if you turn a player inside out but then turn in so many circles that you have to take him on again. I've lost count of the number of times that he has take...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (h)

Taking off Olise was ridiculous, we need people who can actually keep possession in the opposition half. Pauno doesn’t actually know what he’s doing. Might be a good man manager but time and time again makes some baffling tactical decisions. Agreed. Absolutely brain dead taking Olise off. He was on...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (h)

Just as you think we're edging back towards our strongest team we lose Yiadom and McIntyre.

It really has been a struggle with the injuries all season.

Still - we really ought to have enough in an attacking sense with Ejaria and Meite back to win this game.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (h)

Thought it was really poor. Bullied in the air, second best for majority of first half, created little. A good spell of possession second half which never looked overly threatening. The expectation of a result probably made it feel worse. The top teams in this division are (on the whole) making easy...

Meite in 20 minutes showing us what we've been missing. Power, pace, goal threat. Hope he stays fit.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h)

McIntyre was superb again last night - really not sure how Moore gets into the team the way he is playing. His reading of the game gets better with every match. And you can't drop Morro - what a brilliant signing he has been. Yiadom was also superb and you feel he will play a big role in the remaini...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h)

Good luck to Brentford, they thoroughly deserve their time in the sun. They currently living their equivalent of Reading 2004-06 time for us as fans. I’m sure they will look back at this period in their history with justifiable pride in the years to come. Another big two fingers up to Wednesday, Fo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a)

Looking forward to seeing Meite back properly and I'd be expecting him to come in to the starting XI. He brings the physicality, passion and work ethic - and coming back in against a physical Stoke side seems like the perfect time (cue a shocking performance tomorrow).

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Tony Barrass

Pitch is truly awful but great to see us come out with intent and momentum, and 2 well worked goals.

Let's see this out quietly and without any more injuries - would be good to see Swift feature at some point.

What a result with the injuries.

Shout out to Laurent, Moore and Gibson who all had terrific games.

It was a game where one moment of quality wins the game and Olise brought it. The flick from McIntyre to give him the space to shoot was lovely.

Re: Time to drop Rafael?

Isn’t it funny how our memories are only as good as the last few games? 7 points clear at the top, best defensive record in the country, some great saves and we were discussing how much a decent keeper adds to our success. A few games of horrific defending, errors pretty much all across the back 5 ...

Re: Back from whatever that was.

Wouldnt usually say this after a defeat but the international break has come at a good time.

Regroup, get players rested and back from injury and put the last 3 games behind us. It's still been an excellent start.

Re: BTFT - Blackburn

As others have said, last night's game really showed what this team can do in an attacking sense. Yes we got a fortunate start, but despite a quick leveller, we continued to create and stay on the front foot. We scored 4 with our 5 shots on target but we had a number of other promising attacking mom...

Re: BFTG Middlesbrough

People are seriously exaggerating how boring this game was. It was lower tempo than our previous games but the team was still trying to attack and having shots... it was nowhere tear the turgidness of our worst Stamball performances. Agreed. Yes we struggled to break down Boro but we played all the...

Re: Pedro Mendes

Carrico was an odd one, against Liverpool in the 0-0 draw, he was superb but he was very rarely seen again after that, if not at all Ilori was an abomination of a defender, simply wasn't a Championship player, suits the foreign leagues more IMO, not sure how he's done since he's gone though He was ...

 Anyone agree with Mr Kempson’s opinion? https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/sport-opinion/arrogance-reading-fc-players-almost-17464853 Personally I didn’t see it as that myself, although there were a couple of moments of “unnecessaryness”, but then Reading are so rarely ever in a commanding ...
