Re: Selles In

Not having seen Reading play this season your results seem bizarre. Winning 0-4 at Millwall and 0-9 at Exeter but dropping so many points elsewhere. Is Mr Selles tinkering too much or is there another explanation?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

I backed you at 7/1 and couldn't believe it when you went out to 16/1. One of your supporters wrote just before kick-off that this is the worst ever Reading team. It's a funny old game isn't it?

Re: New Manager

Listened to a podcast recently which discussed the effect a new manager can have and the stats to back up the 'bounce' effect and they said it shows if a new manager doesn't get the desired reaction from the players and a change in performance in his first 8 games you should get rid and start again...

Other - Craig Bellamy. Oxford United missed a trick when their change of ownership saw Robinson appointed instead.

Re: Rival Watch

it will be a hideously northern division next year if Fulham go up/ Millwall get beat. Basically be a tour of all the most dire parts of the country. We've got a lovely seafront Hound. If you play us in August you can enjoy the delights of fish and chips and a 99 at Roker/Seaburn. Mind, play us in ...

Re: Who do you want to replace Clarke?

Although I'd love to see Paolo Di Canio (The only Sunderland Manager in the 53 years I've supported the club I was sorry to see go) get a chance to prove his worth I realise that isn't going to happen. Therefore it has to be Nigel Pearson. I'm astonished that Fulham are taking Clarke from you; why, ...

Re: Nigel Adkins

Lower West Sure he'll come good.

The players have to take responsibility for much of last night's performance.

A strong Peterborough team might give Sunderland a few problems.......

Play like we did on Tuesday and a weak Posh team will give us a lot of problems.

Re: Rumour David Vaughan

I thought he was on his way to Palace, particularly with the Holloway connection. I hope you get him. He's a good player and scored a couple of absolute crackers for us, particularly the third goal at Newcastle late last season. Unfortunately, he's also dropped a couple of clangers, passing back to ...

Church to Charlton.

Church is being linked with Charlton and their supporters don't appear impressed.
How was he regarded by Reading supporters?

Re: Rumour - Charlie Austin

Linked with Forest, I think they will be strong for auto with him and mackie as a strikeforce That is a signing I'd very much like Reading to hijack. I know he failed the medical at Hull but I think he is so good that he'd be worth taking the gamble on. I fear he could be the key to Forest's automa...

Re: Should he go or should he stay?

It's some time since I was on this messageboard. I used to spend quite a bit of time on here defending Rodgers and arguing he should be given more time. I thought McDermott was a poor appointment but he's proved me wrong. He's done a wonderful job turning things around and taking you up. He deserves...

Re: Sunderland (A) - Game off

Depends how much rain they've had, drainage systems can only do so much in a set period of time. But it'd better have been one hell of a downpour. Thankyou, a little bit of balance from someone. There has been non-stop torrential rain all morning. The drainage system at The SOL is probably as good ...

Re: Sunderland (A) Predictions

We had a fantastic day yesterday. Fletcher's arrival was very good news but signing Adam Johnson is the stuff of dreams; we're all pinching ourselves. Any Sunderland supporter of my age naturally expects that today will be a big deflation. You could be playing us at the right time. I don't expect us...

IDEAL

Every football fan gets things wrong now and then. However has there ever been a more monumental error of judgement than yours of Rodgers? It didn't take long to show just how mistaken you were, and in what a bitter-sweet way it's been demonstrated.

Re: Play-offs 2011 Forest v Swansea

That red card actually galvanised them - didnt hurt them at all. Don't think I can stomach losing to Swansea at Wembley would rather lose in the semi to Cardiff! Losing to Swansea would be such sweet Karma for Ideal and any others who wrote off Rodgers without giving him a chance, but I'm not count...
