Re: BFTG Fulham

Hoping Fulham don't get promoted because I just love this fixture. Took the girlfriend, had a great dinner in Putney, stopped for a few drinks in a pub Putney side of the river, nice walk to ground and another beer overlooking the Thames inside the stadium. As for the football - I don't go that much...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

Considering I was so high up (519) I was pleasantly surprised, quite a few people singing around me and generally encouraging. Whenever there was a bit of excitement in the game (few and far between), I thought on the whole we made some decent noise. And you could hear the lower tier trying to get t...

Re: The truth about Royston...

It will be interesting to see if a club in a Europe bought a bunch of Championship players and got them playing Championship style whether they would do well in that league, assuming most of the opposition players are of the same skill as Drenthe and used to playing the way he did over there. Fitne...

Re: Ask Anton...

For a 'owner' who was so open with the media about his visions and goals for the club, who attended matches regularly, who would go into the dressing room after matches, who would visit the training ground fairly often to check out the day to day running of the club, who showed some intent with 'big...

Re: 3 Years Ago Today...

I was at Swansea University at the time. I had to get the train back to Swansea with all the Swansea fans and I had an exam the next morning. Utterly shit. Looking back on it though, what a great game which ultimately sums up why people attend football matches. Such a dramatic roller coaster of emot...

Re: Burnley (H) Match Thread - Sponsored by 8 man Yeovil

Would have been nice to be part of the play off drama, but everybody knows we wouldn't have won it.

A little gutting to lose out to a last minute goal in a different game but we only have ourselves to blame. Oh well, not really That fussed.

Re: Jason Roberts nearly back

Why doesn't the club come to an arrangement where they continue to pay him weekly etc but on the understanding that he fcuks off now? He's not exactly a Murty type character that has done a lot for the club. Don't hate the guy or anything but given this is a season of transition that squad number c...

Re: Not celebrating

Depends on the circumstances I guess. If a player has a lot of respect for the club and had a good relationship with the fans its ok in my opinion. I wouldn't expect someone like Long to celebrate against us for example. It has become a bit silly now when some players will play for a number of clubs...

Re: Karl Sheppard?

Karl was a bit out of his depth here I think. Too many injuries, too much time spent on loan where he never did much, he never really impressed for the 21s. Generally he is quite shy so I get the feeling he just never settled.

Good luck to him though.

I'm firmly behind NA and believe we'll come good this season. But the supporters comment is a bit odd. I mean would he honestly give up his Saturday, travel hours and pay a sizeable amount of money to watch that shit if it wasn't his job?

Kitson first game of the season away at Man Utd. The amount of abuse Evra got for getting straight back up after the red card was excellent.
