Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Lets see how many of those 500 are still there when we are 22nd after 3 months of the season. I for one have given up my ST in favour of the mighty forest green rovers. Forest Green Rovers. 4th tier. Adult Season Ticket £391. Reading. 2nd Tier. Adult Season Ticket £375. You've done well there son :...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Was it a potential away kit scraped at the last minute after 5000 produced? No - opposite, home kit!! Owners didn’t appreciate what the backlash would of been. We were going red, doing a Cardiff, but behind the scenes word and sense prevailed then someone had bright spark idea to link them to Red N...

paultheroyal Club will think they have softened the blow somewhat with at long last a decent home friendly lined up. Should be the biggest crowd we will have all season lol.

Probably Bournemouth, Brighton or Watford.

Think blue, top 4 and you have your answer.

I am sure that I read on here somewhere the team we would be playing in the home friendly, either played in blue or finished in the top 4.

Both.

paultheroyal New kits will be on display and in club shop on the day of the Chelsea game.

Am I missing something? What Chelsea game? Is there a preseason friendly about to be announced?

Whoops, just checked. Thought it had already come out and common knowledge.

Watch this space.

Re: New Training Ground

I wonder if they plan to make the pitches available for community use at all ? yeah was wondering that as well. Presumably the Dome at the Madejski will go eventually. ITs starting to look a bit tattered and isn't being especially well maintained - at least last time I was there. If Category 1 club...

FWIW the steward wouldn't let me store my suitcase anywhere, so I ended up hiding it in a hedge behind the carpark. Enjoyed myself in the South Stand on Sunday, was significantly louder further up the stand where I went in the second half. https://media2.giphy.com/media/yvEwUWxX2rra/giphy.gif

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Hopefully get as many new players in as early as possible and dead wood shifted so they can hit the 10 game pre season campaign full on. Some decent looking friendlies lined up with tour and at long last a decent Prem team to play week before the season starts will make them well placed come August.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I am a fan of this scheme and all that and knew what was being proposed but they do run the risk of watering this down to what it should all be about. Fans wanting to create an atmosphere and sing. Those on a budget might fancy it instead and just sit there. Would those on a budget not have already...

Re: BFT(final)G

If a player doesn't deliver, they're dropped. If a manager doesn't deliver, they're sacked. If a referee doesn't deliver, then what? Nothing. The people that say "referees have it so difficult" are wrong, refs make mistakes time and time again and are very rarely punished for it, yet when...
