Re: The Non - League thread

SCR v Guernsey was called off on Thursday due to fears of SCR/Gander Green Lane being waterlogged.

I believe SCR are now travelling to Guernsey next Saturday.

Re: The Non - League thread

Not much shadenfreude on here about our old friends from the Rec staring relegation in the face as they now find themselves 10 points from safety in the National League. Tehy have a couple of 6-pointers coming upp against Borehamwood and Dover with a possible humdinger on the last day at second bot...

From last night. FA Trophy R1 Replay Bedford Town (Step 3 - SLD1C) 7-0 Aldershot Town (Step 1 - NL) They were due to play their academy/youth team due to their injury list and FA rules preventing them from registering new players after the original tie was played.....Aldershot that is. :) E...

Re: The Non - League thread

Holmer Green moving from South Mids to Hellenic is a geographically odd one given their relative ease of travel to areas of NW London, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire clubs.

I don't think I will ever understand the geography of the Hellenic League

Re: The Non - League thread

Can someone explain to me the rules around the FA Trophy - Orient's game went to extra time on Saturday, yet some of the other games that finished level go to a replay... It’s down to agreement between the clubs I believe.... “Extra Time in First Matches If a first match is drawn after 90 minutes, ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Yep AFC Bournemouth play in Hampshire Senior Cup, entered at the second round stage this season. Hampshire Senior Cup allows entries from Dorset, Wiltshire and IOW. I guess all are by some local agreement. Newport (IOW) FC for example are affiliated to IOW FA which is a division of Hampshire FA. Bou...

Re: Best wishes Bobby Convey

Thank you for posting this. Until this post I was unaware Convey had even retired from playing football. For me he was an excellent player and was my favourite player during his time at Reading not just in the 106 season. I'm certain had he not had the injury problems he would have stayed with Readi...

Re: Ipswich (a)

What's best route via train? Personally doing Reading - Paddington - Kings Cross - Cambridge - Ipswich (but I'm breaking the journey at Stowmarket). If you choose this route, make sure you split the journey as on a straight through Reading - Ipswich ticket the route isn't valid. Works out at £57.80...

Network Southeast ID cards introduced to the Southbank. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9DPJPsaYhA What a shambles that was. Huge queues to get in and the cards didn't even 'ID' you. One game I went in then lobbed my card back over the wall for a mate to use. And some pre season training on Kensin...
