Re: Chant Lyrics

What are the lyrics to "Super Reading FC".... it sounds like "by far the Greatest Team the World has ever seen"..... which can't be right as we're not even the greatest team in the Championship. We don't specify what it is that we are the greatest at. There must be a niche activ...

Re: Blackett to Turkey.

This site says Fenerbahce are close to signing Blackett http://sportwitness.co.uk/director-talks-sign-reading-defender-deal-said-close/ Meanwhile Reading are set to offer Blackett a new 2.5 year deal Big decision for Tyler this month then. There's so much agent nonsense about at this time of year b...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Apparently Klopp is very, very big on analytics based scouting. Kind of like big time moneyball, deliberately targeting players from below the very top echelon of clubs with the right personality and work ethic and maybe something to prove. The afformentioned 3 for example, bought from Roma, Southa...

Re: Blackett to Turkey.

If Blackett wants to go, I honestly wouldn't blame him...he probably remembers the stick he's received from the fans; one game he was subbed as a sub when he made one bad mistake - I felt genuinely embarrassed at the time. I go back 50 years and apart from a chap called Malcolm Swain (only older fa...

Re: Rival Watch

Liam Kelly is on his way to Oxford from Feyenoord. May as well give Oxford the title now not surprised, when I saw the rumour thought that would be where he would end up. Probably his level. "His level"? Top end of Div 1 = bottom end of Championship so yes it is probably his level. Oxford...

Re: The generic transfer thread

So, are you saying United are exceeding expectations? United are actually below xG! This season, however, has been a difficult watch Once you get past the starting 11 it starts getting very thin... and even then...McTominay, Fred, Lindelof and James should be squad players, not starters Seeing Mati...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Much being made of Curtis Jones' goal and performance against Everton, but for me the standout was Harvey Elliott, 16 years old (and not 17 until April) and gliding around the pitch like he owned the place. People always react more to goals and local lad, scoring the winner in a derby game is some ...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

Not on the pundit front, but there seems to be a trend amongst all broadcasters to try and edit in as many pointless shots of fans, management, close ups and irritating camera angles during play as possible rather than just showing a game. I don't think I've watched a worse match for this than Roon...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Liverpool and Manchester have fantastic public transport networks and certainly being by the coast means Liverpool doesn't get as cold. Liverpool and Manchester are thriving economically. Having lived in both, I prefer Liverpool because the people are nicer but they're both fantastic cities. Well d...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Central Cardiff is not that cheap. If you live a few miles out of the centre to get more for you4 money then good luck with the commute, rush hour traffic there is mental. As for Blackpool, I am looking forward to a midweek trip to the Vegas of the North. I haven’t been since the 1994 4-0 away win,...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

One of the worst games I've seen this season, any other season too really. United need to sack OGS. It's so blatantly obvious he isn't the person to take them back to the top. Club legend? Yes. A football manager? No. They should chuck everything they can at Pochettino and back him heavily in the t...

Re: BFTG - Blackpool

Bowen went down in my opinion today after such a good run was it really necessary to make 17 changes ? Even the subs needed a break. We have a free week next week could a few first teamers at least not been on the bench? We our 14th not 4th. So this talk of play offs is way premature lose the two g...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

For reasons too boring to go into, and because I was in the south stand, we didn’t get the Nags bus, opting for the station bus instead. How the f/ck normal bus users put up with having to listen to bitter Northerners talk cliches on the bus back every other week I don’t know. "Typical London ...

Old Man Andrews LOL@United for playing a weakened team when the FA Cup is all they can hope for this season.

How can it be weaker?
