Re: The hardest player to ever play for Reading?

Forbury Lion Andre Bikey - red carded in a trial match and/or friendly for us for headbutting an opposition player, his head wasn't always right.

It was a Swedish part-timer who I think was a publican in real life. We signed Bikey anyway.

Re: Chairman Backing

Terminal Boardom Yes, he has funded the club but only in the form of loans. He has not "given" the club any money at all.

This is almost certainly false.

Just about the entire team is new faces compared to the last few years. How much change do you need?

Re: New signings

winchester_royal Also, the OS has been astonishingly bad in keeping us up to date with this.

It's been 2.5 hours since the deadline shut, and we still don't have a oxf*rd clue what has happened.

I think it's sort of an unofficial club policy to treat the closing of the transfer window with disdain.

If Reading went bust...

... and a new Reading club was formed that was introduced into the football ladder at, say, tier 7, would you automatically become a fan?

Re: Promotion Form

Schards#2 0 goals in 7 of the last eleven.

Relegation stats

Come now. We've got 12 points from those eleven games, which averages out to 50 over the season. Almost certainly good enough form to avoid relegation.

Re: Anti-Kitson Protest

Person leaving a company to get paid more elsewhere shocker. You would have done the same unless you are unambitious. Is Kevin Doyle unambitious? His attitude to the same situation was 'I was a part of the team that go relegated, so I'll be a part of the team that brings us back up', which is very ...

Re: Kitson to return?

I think you fickle fans should swallow your pride and be pleased he's coming back. You can't blame him for wanting to play in the Prem and earn more money, we'd all go for better, higher paid jobs if we could. It didn't work out for him, so get over it. Bloody hell - a sensible post from Kes, and o...

Re: Reading buy 10% clause from Cork City for Kevin Doyle

Judging by last time around, promotion is "worth" around 10-12m. It took us from a six million loss to a six million profit, but all might agree that we maybe didn't invest enough in the playing staff so that profit figure might get eaten into next time. Nevertheless, worth more than we co...

Re: Team for Crystal Palace

Reading Coppell's comments on selection I think the team is loking like picking itself: Hahnemann Rosenior Sonko Ingimarsson Armstrong Kebe Karacan Harper SHunt NHunt Doyle It sounds like he's talking himself out of Bikey, so almost the only other option in midfield (compatible with the "senio...
